Stephen French
This is Stephen’s ninth year teaching theatre here at DHS, and before that, he enjoyed an exciting career in professional theatre as an actor and director for over 30 years. In 2018, Mr. French was chosen Arts Educator of the Year by the Mobile Arts Council. A graduate of both Auburn University (BFA) and the University of Montevallo (MEd), Stephen got to tour all over the country and spent over 10 years in Central Florida where he worked as an actor, director, improv performer, and producer almost everywhere that had a stage; including Universal Orlando where he harassed tourists daily in the role of Beetlejuice. Stephen also designs the sets for Warrior Theatre productions. Blessed (or cursed) with a wide variety of interests, Stephen loves Marvel comics and also dabbles in the graphic arts.
