Director
Jerry Crouch (Director) is delighted to return 'home' to Workshop Theatre! He was a regular presence in the spotlight in the Seventies performing in Godspell, Winnie The Pooh, George M, Guys and Dolls, Gypsy and Little Mary Sunshine with many more local performances at Town Theatre, USC and Lexington Arts Association. In the interim, Jerry has filled his resume with over 80 productions in Atlanta and on the staff of Asheville Community Theatre where he was their “Mr Musical in Residence' directing such blockbusters as The Music Man, Annie, Peter Pan, Hairspray, Oliver, Cabaret, The Addams Family, Young Frankenstein, Sweeney Todd and The Producers. Along the way he found time to direct his favorite classic – A Streetcar Named Desire and also starred as Harvey Fierstein's “Arnold” in the original legendary script of tonight's LGBTQ classic, Torch Song Trilogy.

Jeni McCaughan

Jeni McCaughan (Producer) has been actively volunteering at Workshop for the last fourteen years. By day, she works as the Executive Director of Workshop Theatre. Some of Jeni’s favorite shows that she has produced and been the props mistress for are Caroline, or Change, Disney Camp Rock, The Color Purple, The Wedding Singer, and Kinky Boots. Jeni would like to thank Jerry for his dedication to this very important show and is happy to welcome him into the Workshop family. She wants to thank this amazing cast, crew, and production team for sharing their time and incredible talents with us. As always, a big thank you and lots of love to her very patient and talented husband, Dean. Jeni would like to dedicate her work on this show to her amazing friends who always show up, support her no matter what, and make her laugh. Kendal, Chris, Jocelyn, Andie, Hans, Lou, Blythe, Ilsa, and Taylor –Thank you and I love you all.

Kendal Turner
Stage Manager
Kendal Turner (Stage Manager) is excited to be back with her 10th show at Workshop Theatre. Most recently you may have seen her on the stage as Annette in God of Carnage. For this show she returns to her roots as stage manager extraordinaire. Kendal is a full-time educator and part time mermaid who firmly believes that magic is real. Performance is the key to her heart, and she is happy to continue her journey with this fantastic band of weirdos at Workshop Theatre. Thank you for your love and support. We hope you enjoy the show!

Andie Nicks

Andie Nicks (Costume Designer) is a Columbia native. She has a BA in fine arts from the University of South Carolina-Aiken (USCA) and her MFA in costume design from Southern Illinois University (SIU). She is a licensed Cosmetologist after studying at Paul Mitchell the school Columbia. She co-owns an Etsy store, Theodocia Originals, with her mother selling handmade jewelry and home décor. Most recently she designed costumes for Workshop’s 2022 Death of a Salesman, Kinky Boots, The Wedding Singer, God of Carnage, and The Color Purple and Trustus’ 2021 Intimate Apparel and 2022 Dance Nation, First Date, and True Crime Rep. Previous design experience includes Children of Eden (SIU), Pinkalicious (McLeod Summer Playhouse), Junie B. Jones (CFRTeens) and Murder for Two (Cape Fear Regional Theatre). Amy Husmann
Assistant Stage Manager
Amy Husmann (Assistant Stage Manager) is thrilled to be returning to the theater after a long hiatus. She earned her Bachelor’s and Master’s in Theater Arts from San Francisco State University, California, and has worked both on and off stage in a number of community theater productions. After living in over half a dozen states, she and her family are now happy to now call Columbia home.

Sophie Lagare
Backstage Crew
Sophie Legare (Backstage Crew) is excited to working with Workshop Theatre for the second time this season after stage managing Death of a Salesman. She is a graduate of the University of South Carolina with a B.A. in Theatre. She focused her studies primarily on costuming and is an accomplished seamstress. Sophie works full time at the university while also taking classes towards a Master’s degree. During her free time, she likes to learn to play a variety of musical instruments and spend time with her cats, Morticia, Gomez, and Fester. She would like to thank Jeni and Jerry for this opportunity as well as the cast and crew who have been a pleasure to work with.
