About Where There's A Will, There's A Murder

A Murder Mystery in One Act by Michael Druce

Produced by special arrangement with Heuer Publishing LLC of Cedar Rapids, Iowa.

When ten distant relatives learn that each of them is about to inherit a million dollars, wheels begin to turn and plots hatch. If someone doesn't make it through the stormy weekend ahead, their share will be divided equally among the others. It doesn't take a mathematical genius to figure out that less is more. As bodies pile up, the laughs come fast and furiously in this ‘whodunnit' that proves that Where There's a Will, There's a Murder.

West Boylston MHS Theatre

Theatre at West Boylston Middle High School has been thriving for over two decades.

As part of the curriculum, students take Exploration in Drama in 7th and 8th grade. In high school, students have the opportunity to take both Drama Workshop and Performing Arts Workshop, both that culminate in dramatic and musical performances, respectively.

Where There's a Will There's a Murder marks our first all-faculty production which we hope to make an annual event.

In addition to classes, students have the opportunity to act in fall play productions as an extra-curricular activity as well earn points to become a part of West Boylston's chapter of the International Thespian Society: Troupe 6514. The International Thespian Society students take part in several drama-related activities throughout the year including the annual Massachusetts Thespian Festival and our own Improv Night - which debuted in 2019 and was an instant hit.

For the 2021 - 2022 school year, we hope to introduce more performance opportunities for students, including a Murder Mystery Dinner Theatre in October, mounting student directed one-act plays in December and bringing back out Improv Night in February. These are in addition to our Fall production and Spring Performing Arts Workshop musical.
