Kimahri Garcia (Craft)
Kimahri Garcia is a 8th grade student at Achievement House Cyber Charter School. He is currently a cast member of TAFE’S touring show “Rupert meets Mrs. Tales.” Kimahri has been performing since he was 6 years old in plays and musicals. Kimahri has performed with Weary arts group and Is part of WAGS RockBand classes under the direction of Rod Goelz.
Shannon Garcia (Crankenshaft)
Shannon Garcia is an artist, performer and theater lover. Shannon has performed in several plays, improv groups and other public performances. Most recently she was Tibalt in Weary Arts Group Shakespeare on the Rocks, and the a variety of characters including the wicked witch in the 2017/2018 touring cast of TAFES “Rupert meets Mrs. Tales”. When not performing Shannon enjoys being active in her community, writing poetry, painting and being a momprenuer. Shannon is very excited to have the opportunity in this show to share the stage with her children and so many close friends.
Michael Shipman (Sir Michael Schwartz)
Michael Shipman had the pleasure of making his WAG debut in “Panic at the Ballpark” last October, as Private Detective Mong. He has also been in past shows, such as Shrek the Musical (ensemble), The Emperor’s New Clothes (Imperial Prime Minister), and Family Dinner (John Smith, Jr.), his personal favorite. Michael would like to thank his amazing wife Mindy and his awesome, incredible co-stars for their support! Enjoy the show!
Mindy Shipman (Brunhilda)
Jasmine Rivera (DAR Member/ Ensemble)
Jasmine Rivera is the owner of Vellons garage of York. When she is not repairing cars at her shop, she enjoys spending downtime with her family. Jasmine is also a member of the York City Derby Dames, our local roller derby team. This will be Jasmines first time performing in a musical. During this process she has gained a new appreciation for the arts and the work that goes into putting on a show. She is grateful the chance to support her community and the dreams of our urban youth like Ace.
AshleyWalcyzk (Civil War Citizen / Ensemble)
Ashley Walczyk has been acting since 2015, with her first show being Dallastown Area Middle School’s fall play. She started to do productions with Weary Arts Group since 2016, and are still continuing to perform with them. Ashley wanted to be in this show to not only perform, but to help out a good friend of hers. She is excited to perform.
Jaceita Chilton-Walker (DAR Member/Ensemble)
Jaceita Chilton-Walker is an adjunct adult Education instructor with York County School of Technology. She’s a member of Luthern Union Church, sings on the choir of the church and loves to spend time with her grandchildren. She cares for her 99 year old grand-mom who lives with her and enjoys the conversations that go on between her grand mom and the grandchildren. In her spare time Jaceita enjoys traveling, mentoring others, motivational speaking and anything that has to do with the arts. Jaceita has always been interested in performing in a play an now has a chance to do so. Jaceita is venturing into book writing and healing from past traumas. This is Jaceita’s first time performing and is excited at the opportunity to be in musical. I love supporting others in their dreams. I know what it feels like to be supported and that support makes a huge difference in the success of others.
Megan Radzik (Elvis/ Ensemble)
Megan Radzik has been performing since she was 7 years old. Thanks to her big sister, Mindy Radzik Shipman, she got into some of Cal Weary's first shows through York High, including "The Wiz", "Grease", "Beauty and The Beast", and "Cinderella ". After taking a break for a few years she was drawn back in through working on tech and lights for York High's production of "Aida" in her senior year. Since then she has performed in "The Wiz" and in her sister's production of "The Seven Gates of Hell." Megan is looking forward to performing in "Totally Gone With The Wind" and supporting her good friend Ace Garcia in his senior project.
Jason Querry (Elvis/Ensemble)
Jason has been everything from a backstage stuffed puppy wrangler for 101 Dalmatians Jr. (the Belmont) to a Shakespearean soldier (Antony and Cleopatra, Orangemite) to a Nazi agent (The Diary of Anne Frank, Open Stage of Harrisburg). Now, Elvis is in the building! Love to friends and to his son, Austin.
Gina Wagner (Elvis/ Ensemble)
Gina Wagner (ensemble) is a stay at home mom of three girls. She has worked cast or crew in over 20 shows at various theatres in York. She was last seen as “Antonia” in Much Ado About Nothing with Orangemite and worked as Production Stage Manager of “The Night Before Christmas” at TAFE.
Mary Somervell (DAR Leader/ Ensemble)
Mary Overlander Somervell is from New York. She moved to Montgomery Alabama then later to York. She is a retired nurse. Mary has many interests and somehow finds the time to enjoy them. She and husband Mike have a dog named Buddy. This is her first show. Mary thank her family for their support and coming out to see the show, and her daughter Ginny for inspiring her to always be strong and try new things.
Xavier Garcia-Wilson (Donnie Oswald)
Xavier is making his stage debut in this musical. Xavier is a carpenter by trade, having recently graduated with a degree from Thaddeus Stevens. Xavier enjoys playing sports and has a hidden passion for fashion.
Desiree Ryer (Script Girl(Mitsy))
Desiree Ryer, is proud to be a part of the cast of “Totally Gone with the Wind.” Desiree lives in Dallastown with her Mom, Dad and her new pup Kora. Desiree also has an older brother, Damian. She is in 8th grade and attends Dallastown Area Middle School. Desiree has always been a fan of Music, Theatre and Broadway. She started with being a part of her school chorus since 4th grade to present. Desiree appeared in her first musical about 2 years ago when she was a munchkin for The Wiz produced by The Weary Arts Group in York Pa. She then was part of her middle school play as ensemble and then moved on to stage crew for her spring musical Alice in Wonderland. After that, she once again made ensemble in The Wiz in 2018. Outside of theatre, Desiree plays the Cello, Oboe, piano and guitar. Desiree has also been a cheerleader for Dallastown Cougars and Dallastown Wildcats for 6 years. Desiree would like to thank her mom, dad and brother for their support in persuading the things she loves.
Ace Garcia (General Sherman)
Azaria “Ace” Garcia was reluctant to cast himself in this show, but after someone from the cast had to drop he did what he had to do. Ace, a 17 year old Achievement House cyber student, is no stranger to the stage. He is thankful for this chance to take the next step with his art as a director. When not performing, or now directing, Ace also does videography work, and draws. Ace would like to thank his family, WAG, the cast, crew, Union Lutheran Church and friends and family who volunteered; each played an important role in making this happen and he is proud to have the chance to share this experience with them.
Ella weary (Dirk Donavan/Rhet Butler)
Ella Weary attends summer theater camp at the Strand under the direction of Weary Arts Group and has participated in many musicals and plays with them over the years. She also participates in musicals, sings in chorus, plays field hockey, runs track, is a member of NJHS, and participates in debate tournaments on the Forensics team with Dallastown Schools.
