In The Heights Cast

Shayna Mazyck is a freshman in Communications Technology at YCST. She enjoys dancing, singing, rapping, meeting new people, and having fun. She has been in a previous show, Alice in Wonderland (tech crew). Shayna would like to thank God and her family and friends for their support.

Alma Elidia Gonzalez is a Senior in Medical Profession at YCST. She has taken orchestra for 5 years, choir for 3 years. She had been in winter and spring concerts. She would like to thank her parents and sisters for their support.

Amelia is a junior in medical professions. She has been dancing for 14 years and has been in a few weary arts group productions such as “little shop of horrors” (dancing Audrey for encores), “a midsummer nights dream” (philostrate), “the wiz”(lead dancer) and Alice in wonderland (Alice). Amelia would like to thank her family for always being supportive.

Amya Vega is a senior in Level 4 Medical Profession at YCST. She has taken musical classes in Piano (1 year), Clarinet (3 years), Choir (4 years) and Cheered (3 years). Amya has been in past musical shows pertaining to chorus and instrumental shows. Amya would like to thank her friends and family for all their support!

Cat Martin, a freshman at York County School of Technology in Commercial and Advertising Art, is very excited to be in her first musical. She has been in previous plays such as Almost History: The Whole Space Time Continuum Thing as a teacher, and in Alice in Wonderland as Mad Hatter. She would like to thank her mom for her support, and her friends in the cast.

Colin Webster, A Freshman at York Tech in Criminal Justice, he has been in 2 other plays before called Almost History the Whole Space Time Continuum Thing and played the characters of Media Mike, Thomas Jefferson, Thomas Watson and Mr. Smetek. He also played in another Weary Arts group production called Alice In Wonderland and was in the Ensemble. Colin would like to thank his parents and grandparents for his support.

Emma Schwartz, Sophomore at York County School of Technology, is actively enrolled in the I.T. department. Emma has taken cheerleading (1 year) and participates in Cyber Patriot (2 years). This is Emma’s first time performing on stage, though she has always wanted to be apart of theater. She would like to thank her friends for the endless support they have given her.

Angela Gonzalez is a junior at York Tech. She studies Communication Technology, and is from York City. Angela previously played the role of Crystal in Little Shop of Horrors, and also stage managed for the Fall Play, Alice in Wonderland. She looks forward to singing on stage again.

Jenay Peachlum, is a freshman in Early Childhood Education at YCST. She has taken dance classes in hip hop (1 year ). Jenay would like to thank her parents and her sister for all their support and her friends that encourage her so much to be in this show!

Jean Colon is a Sophomore at York Tech. He studies Criminal Justice, and he is from Westchester City Jean previously played the role of The Knave in Alice in Wonderland. He is looking forward to Making a Book filled with scary stories.

Izzy Bernadyn is a freshman in Licensed Cosmetology at York Tech. She has had lead roles in Circus Olympus,and almost History. She would like to thank everyone that helped her at any time whatsoever. And her 7th grade History Teacher, Ms.Lichtenberg for starting Theatre at her middle school.

Jessica Kipp, age 15, is a freshman in Information Technology at YCST. This is he very first performance. Jessica has taken dance classes in ballet (3 years) and tap (2 years). Jessica would like to thank her friends for all their support.

Jordyn Stinson is a freshman in Medical Professions at YCST. She likes to sing and dance, along with acting. Jordyn has been in a past show, Alice in Wonderland (tech crew). Jordyn would like to thank her family and friends for all their support.

Joel Perez is a sophomore in the Criminal Justice technical area at York Tech. He has worked with the Weary Arts Group at his high school for the plays “Alice in Wonderland” and “A Midsummer Night’s Dream.” He enjoys the arts, singing and rapping. Because he grew up in New York, taking the role of Usnavi in “In The Heights” is practically a dream come true.

Josephine Ovalles is a junior in Communications Technology at YCST. She is honored to be playing a lead role in her first musical. Aside from musicals, she enjoys songwriting and playing instruments. She is very grateful to her family and friends who motivate her, and hopes to go further with performing arts.

Juliet Vargas is a Sophomore in Culinary Arts at YCST. Juliet has been in past shows, such as Midsummer Night Dream (Snug), I dont want to talk about it (Tessa)(Karissa), and The Wiz (Dance Troupe/Ensemble). She would like to thank God for giving her this opportunity, My family for being by my side, and my friends for encouraging me to keep on even when times get tough!

Kylie Reed currently attends York Tech as a junior in Communications Technology. After performing in the school play earlier in the year, she was very excited to be able to work with her friends again. She'd like to thank everyone who supported her through this.

Luis V. Gonzalez Jr, is a sophomore in Diesel Technology at YCST. He was music writer for 1 1/2 years while at tech. Luis would like to thank his family for there support and for encouraging him to try new things which lead him to try out for his 1st musical!

Mariann Tiru, attends high school as a senior for Culinary Arts. She has been in Little Shop of Horrors (Chiffon), A midsummer night's dream (Titania), and in Alice in Wonderland (Queen of Hearts). She wants to thank everyone who has pushed her to get out of her comfort zone and supported her along the way, and she can't wait to make this last year her best eve

Malaysia Beady, is a senior in Early Childhood Education at YCST. She was in the productions Hairspray (Ensemble), Little Shop of Horrors (Ensemble), Midsummer Night's Dream (Ensemble), and Alice in Wonderland (Ensemble). She would like to thank her parents, friends, and cast/crew for encourage her to be in this show!

Omairys Montañez - Sanchez, freshman. Student at YCST. In Medical Professions Level 1. Graduating year is 2022. Omairys has been in chorus for 4 years, has been part of Hispanic dance festivals for the past 2 years, and done many hip hop dances. She has a strong passion for helping others and music.

Morgan Janasek is a junior ar York Tech in Communications Technology.SHe has been part of shows like Little shop of Horrors(Audrey), Midsummer Night's Dream (Helena), and Alice in Wonderland(Dormouse). She would like to thank her family for their support.

Torran Steele is a senior at York County School of Technology in the Medical Professions program. She has been a part of shows such as The Wiz (ensemble), Little Shop of Horrors (Audrey 2), and In the Heights (Piragua Girl). She hopes to be able to do more shows in the future, and preserve her love for the theater.
