Germaine Shames
Germaine Shames, a Kilroys List playwright and recipient of her state’s Literary Fellowship in Fiction, is author of the award-winning novels, Between Two Deserts and You, Fascinating You. Writing under the pen name Casper Silk (Hotel Noir, Echo Year), she has been compared to F. Scott Fitzgerald, Graham Greene and P.D. James “on steroids”. For the past five years, Shames has celebrated premieres in such cities as New York, London, Paris, Chicago and Minneapolis. Her TYA play, Year of Thirteen Moons, won ThinkTank’s 2021 playwriting award, and her adaptation, The Lost Girl, Starlight Theater’s 2019 award. As a librettist and lyricist, Shames collaborates with world-class composers in musical theatre, opera, choral and popular music. Her new musicals, If the Spirit Moves (with composer Erin Murray Quinlan) and The Manifesto, (with composer Nadav Amir-Himmel) premiered at Theatre Elision in 2019 and 2020 respectively. Her eco-opera The Bird Lady (with composer Timothy Miller) previewed in 2021 at the National Opera Center. Her immigration musical, Capri (with composer Paul Scherer), won Skyline Theatre Company’s new musical search and was their singular offering at the 2022 NJ Theatre Alliance Stages Festival. Aimee Greenberg
Aimee Greenberg is an award-winning theatre artist whose works have been produced world-wide. She is the Founding Artistic Director of the former LA based HEIJERA productions and the Producing Artistic Director of fruitlessmoon theatreworks, a nomadic hybrid theatre committed to producing original and established works in both traditional and unconventional spaces. A native New Yorker, Aimee has been fortunate to train and collaborate with theatre icons including: Grotowski, Boal, Meisner, Adler and Fornes. She is the recipient of the Asian Cultural Council Fellowship, LA Endowment, Los Angeles Cultural Affairs , LA Arts Recovery, LA Women's Foundation, Susan G. Komen Fellowship, Seattle Original Works and the Washington State Arts Commission for original solo, devised and ensemble work which includes: exploring the role of women in community and society that reaches back to ancient mythology and swings forward to the present. Aimee is drawn to creating work which investigates displacement, dystopia, identity, technology, broken systems, alienation and loss. Greenberg draws from a wide-range of influences including: digital platforms, popular culture, mask, puppetry, Butoh, Noh, magic realism and absurdism. DLN Director’s Lab 2021. Since relocating to the Bay Area in 2019, Aimee has directed for Dragon Productions, Dean Theatre Productions (LA), and The National Women’s Theatre. Glenn B. Rust
Glenn B. Rust has spent the last five years living in Chicago first receiving his Bachelor's of Arts in Playwriting from Columbia College Chicago, then working as the Technical Director for the longstanding playwrights' theatre Chicago Dramatists. Glenn has dedicated his career to the development of new work whether it be his own or his peers' by creating multiple new play festivals both in college and the professional theatre world. He will be attending the School of the Art Institute in Chicago this Fall to receive his Masters of Arts in Arts Administration and Policy to further his career as a theatre maker.
