Rebecca Arias (Jessie)
Hailing from the halls of the New York Conservatory for Dramatic Arts, classically trained Rebecca is thrilled to be making her Off-Broadway debut at The Heights Players with Lynn Nottage’s 2017 Pulitzer Prize winner. When’s she not onstage she’s pouring her heart into her one woman show in the reservations office of Eleven Madison Park. Thank you to Jacob for this amazing experience.
Bill Barry (Stan)
Bill, the grandson of Irish immigrants and proud product of the working class, is thrilled to be part of telling this story and to be working with such a talented cast and crew. Bill last appeared on this stage as Greg Reed in The Heights Players Production of Getting Away With Murder, directed by Kerry Wolf. Other favorite roles include Lee in Jumbo Productions’ version of Sam Shepard's True West and Chuck (Outstanding Actor nominee, 2020 Perry Awards) in the Studio Playhouse original production of Complete Game. He would like to thank his beautiful wife for her love and support. Bill is dedicating his performance to his acting teacher, mentor and friend, Arthur Reel. RIP Arthur.

Jaye is so happy and grateful to be making his New York stage debut with The Heights Players. Some of his work includes Stick Fly (Dad), Detroit’67 (Lank), A Midsummer Night’s Dream (Oberon), Ready Or Not It’s Christmas (Winston Goldman) and Ready Or Not It’s A Family Reunion (B.J. Anderson). Jaye would like to thank God for placing this role at the right time, his mother for her endless encouragement and love and his family and cast mates for the unwavering support. Hassan Hope (Brucie)
Hassan is an actor from Brooklyn, NY and of Caribbean descent. After his retirement from Mixed Martial Arts, he discovered his love for the stage and screen. He is proud to have a never-ending curiosity for acting and has expanded his knowledge base and skill by studying many actor training regimens available today. He has previously appeared in the Heights Players productions of Getting Away with Murder, Our Lady Of 121st Street and Clybourne Park. Hassan is very proud of this production of Sweat and wishes you enjoy the show.
Dayna Kurtz (Tracey)
Select Theater: Romeo & Juliet, Macbeth, Posturing (“The Theater Project,” Best Actor Award), Wanda’s Visit, Faust, Star**ckers, Gloria, A Midsummer Night’s Dream. TV/Film: It’s About Time (w. Tony Randall), Funny Valentine, Saturday Night Live. Dayna received her formal theater training in London, studying with faculty from The Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts (RADA), and in New York at The Circle in the Square Theater School and The Atlantic Theater Company. She holds a BA in Theater Arts from Brandeis University, and a Masters in Social Work from Columbia. Dayna is a licensed therapist and maintains a part time psychotherapy practice in Manhattan. Huge thanks to family and friends, especially her boys.
Amos Mechanic (Evan)
Amos Machanic is thrilled to be performing in this production of Sweat. His film/tv credits include Passing (Netflix) Nurse Jackie (Showtime). Amos is also a former member of the world acclaimed Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater where he was a member for 15 years.
Garret Richmond (Jason)
Garrett Richmond is a midwestern born, NYC based actor known for his chameleon-like ability to play a wide range of characters. His TV credits include: Power Book II: Ghost, Gotham, Law & Order: SVU, FBI and Syfy’s Happy!. Garrett can also be seen starring in films such as Honeybee on Amazon and in the upcoming film, Manodrome, acting alongside Jesse Eisenberg. Garrett first studied at NYCDA, continued his studies under Anthony Abeson, The Barrow Group and beyond.
