Besides accents and acting, Norah is a huge science nerd and loves fries.
Set Design
Gary VanderPuttenThis is Gary’s first set with Kerry Wolf, long-time friend and first time HP director; it has been a very evolutionary and rewarding process. When not designing and constructing sets, Gary serves as Secretary on the Heights Players board, and as the Technical Director alongside his wife, Jan, Properties Mistress. He is also currently President of the Alfred T. White Community Center, the building in which the theater resides. Thanks to the many who helped raise this set, especially Mike Janove.
Properties/Voice of Gina Bering
Jan VanderPuttenOlder than time and getting shorter every day, Jan celebrated her 30th birthday at the theater with actors who were rehearsing for a show in which she was not involved. She can’t remember the show or the actors, but this tells you that she’s been here a while and is slowing down. Before the slowdown began, she contributed her time and talent as poster designer, photographer, lighting and sound technician, musical director, assistant to the director, stage manager, composer, piano teacher, actress, and finally properties procurer/designer. Of course, she may have done more but can’t be sure. Jan last worked on Night Watch and sits on the Executive committee for Properties and Archives. Thank you to Gary, my husband, and Corrine, my friend, for the three Ss: Support, Stepping in and Schlepping. I’m grateful to you both.
