Newsies Cast

Alex is 14 years old and a freshman at Clearwater Central Catholic HS. Alex is on the CCC drama team and performed in Greek Mythology Olympiaganza (Paris, Police Officer, Zombie). Previously at ESCS, he participated in Christmas musicals & in Willy Wonka (Ensemble). This is Alex's 3rd year at TBPAA, where he has performed in Legally Blonde Jr. (Warner, Kyle) & Hairspray Jr. (Wilbur Turnblad/ Mr. Pinky/Brad) and volunteers in the tech booth.

Layla is 13 years old and in the 8th grade at Palm Harbor Middle. Her credits include: Hairspray JR (Amber Von Tussle) and Legally Blonde JR (Silena, Margot understudy) at TBPAA and Curtis Fundamental Elementary's production of Alice and Wonderland (Queen of Hearts). She has 3 years of dance experience and 4 years of chorus. She enjoys reading and playing the piano.

Ella is a 14-year-old 8th grader at East Lake Middle School. Ella is a part of the ELMS Silver Beat Band as a flute player and was a part of the 2020 TBPAA Competition Team and 2020 TBPAA Senior Encore Team. Ella will attend PCCA’s Musical Theater Program at Gibbs High School in the fall. Ella's TBPAA credits include: Alice in Wonderland JR (Ensemble), Frozen JR (Ensemble), The Little Mermaid JR (Scuttle), Legally Blonde JR (Ensemble, Vivienne Understudy). Ella enjoys acting, singing, dancing, and playing instruments.

Christian is 17 years old and in the 11th grade at Spring Valley School. This is his 2nd year at TBPAA. His previous credits include: Legally Blonde (Prof. Callahan & Dewey), Spring Valley School- Tangled Uncut (Towns person 1) producer Torrie Wilkinson; His hobbies include: gaming, reading, Lego collecting, Star Wars, singing and Boy Scouts (Star) his goal is Eagle!

Rhys is a 5th grader at Plato Academy. This is his second year at TBPAA. His credits include Legally Blonde JR (Dewey & Kyle). Rhys is a Boy Scout who loves building fires, constructing nature fortresses, and hiking in the woods. He also enjoys reading, football, soccer, and playing with his chickens, pigs, & goats in his free time.

Gracie is 14 years old. She is the student choreographer/teacher for the Junior Encore Team and Junie B Jones Gracie's TBPAA credits include: Legally Blonde (Elle) Little Mermaid Jr (Chef Louie, Mersister); Hairspray JR (Edna), Frozen Jr (Oaken, Snow Chorus, Castle Staff), Alice in Wonderland (Queen of Hearts), Willy Wonka (Augustus, Mrs. Salt, Mr. Bucket), Annie Jr (Annie), The Wizard of Oz (Miss Gulch & Wicked Witch); Jungle Book KIDS (Baloo); Peter Pan JR (Fairy); Annie KIDS (Sandy); Beauty and the Beast Jr. (Wolf, Villager); Aladdin KIDS (Djinn); 101 Dalmatians KIDS (Horace); Willy Wonka KIDS (Squirrel); Seussical JR (Young Kangaroo); Cinderella KIDS (Anastasia); The Sound of Music (Kurta). She has been on the TBPAA Encore Team 2018-222. She also sang in the show Holiday Inc at the Straz Center's Jaeb Theater. In her spare time Gracie enjoys gymnastics, playing the piano, and pencil and ink art

Bella turns 13, is homeschooled and in 8th grade. She's taken multiple styles of dance for 9 yrs & danced competitively for 4 yrs, earning multiple awards. Besides dancing, Bella loves singing & acting and is captain of the Elite Encore Team & is an assistant for Encore's Junior Elites. PAST ROLES: Willy Wonka (Willy Wonka), Alice in Wonderland (Alice), Hairspray (Velma) and Legally Blonde (Elle). Bella also enjoys "live recording sessions."

Angelina is 13 years old and is in the 7th grade. This is her 6th year at TBPAA. She is a 4-year member of the TBPAA Encore Performance Troupe where she has performed at Disney Springs and Universal Studios. Her previous theater credits include: The Jungle Book (Kaa) and Seussical (Wickersham Brother). In her free time, Angelina loves to dance and listen to music.

Karl is 15 years old and in the 10th grade at Spring Valley School. He has at TBPAA for 6 yrs & a member of the Encore Team since 2017. His previous credits include: TBPAA – Legally Blonde (Warner & Emmett), The Little Mermaid JR (Grimsby), Hairspray (Corney Collins), Alice in Wonderland (March Hare), Wizard of Oz (Lollipop Guild, Crow, Monkey), Peter Pan JR (Racoon twin, Tic Toc Croc, and Pirate); His hobbies include Cyr Wheel, Hip Hop, Jazz, Ballet, Modern, Improv, Acro, and Boy Scouts (First Class) his goal is Eagle!

Siena is 13 years old and is enjoying her second season at TBPAA after performing in 101 Dalmations (dalmation) some years ago. She is also a part on the Encore performance team.

Vivian is an 8th grader at Palm Harbor Middle School. Vivian’s credits include: A Year with Frog and Toad (Snail) with Montgomery Township Recreation Department in Skillman, NJ, Frozen Jr. (Townspeople/Oaken Family) with Burlington Performing Arts at Burlington, MA, and Peter Pan (Smee) at TBPAA. She is member of Encore Elite Team and Victory Gymnastics Excel Gold Team

Angel is 14 yrs old and a freshman in high school.This is his first year at TBPAA and is enjoying it very much. He took part as a pirate in Theater at Gibbs H S during the summer 2021 and will be joining Musical Theater his sophomore year. He has been in Chorus during elementary, middle school and now High School. He has been participating in Bowling League for 7 yrs, loves art, video games and computers.

Katie is 16 and has been a member of TBPAA for over 9 yrs. She has been on the TBPAA Musical Theater Competition Team (4yrs) and Encore Performance Team (2yrs). She is a student teacher at TBPAA and was a student director for Frozen KIDS. Her credits include: Aladdin KIDS (Carpet, Skeleton); Annie KIDS (July); Seussical JR (Mrs. Mayor); The Lion King JR (Young Nala); Peter Pan JR (Lyria,) Wizard of Oz (Glinda, Ensemble); Alice in Wonderland JR (Alice); Frozen JR (Middle Anna), The Little Mermaid JR (Ariel), Legally Blonde JR (Paulette).

Madeline is 16 years old and a tenth grader at Anclote High School as part of the Cambridge Program. This is her 4th year at TBPAA. TBPAA credits include: Wizard of Oz (city leader and Winkie guard), Alice in Wonderland (March Hare), and Hairspray (Velma Von Tussle - unable to perform due to closures).

- Juli is 14 yrs old and in 9th grade at Palm Harbor University. Credits: Westlake Christian School Alice in Wonderland Jr (Cheshire Cat), TOTA Wizard of Oz (Crow, Ozian), Progressive Arts Wizard of Oz (Cowardly Lion), Under the Sea: The Musical (Chef Louis, Mersister), TBPAA Legally Blonde Jr (Paulette understudy), PHU Almost, Maine (Tech Crew). She was a member of Westlake Christian School Chorus for 8 years and received the Outstanding Singer Award for 2021. Juli enjoys singing, painting, and spending time with family, friends, and her dog Daisy

Athena is 13 and a 7th grader at Carwise Middle School. Her credits include; Theater Competition at District and State levels (Ensemble and Improvisation)/Carwise Theater Class; Annie and Music Man/ Cypress Woods Elementary School; Disney Skits/ Dunedin Fine Arts Music Theater Camp; All County Chorus; Glee Camp/ TBPAA and Dance Recitals (Acro, Tap and Jazz)/ SunCoast Academy of Dance.

Eva is 14 yrs old and in 9th grade at PHU. Her credits include: LSG production of The Lion King JR (Rafiki), Pro Arts FL productions of Alice in Wonderland JR (Caterpillar), Wizard of Oz (Wicked Witch), Frozen JR (Pabbie), Under the Sea:The Musical (Ariel - swing, Allana), and TBPAA productions of Willy Wonka Kids (Mrs. Beauregarde), Hairspray JR (Penny Pingleton), and Legally Blonde JR (Vivienne Kensington) . Eva enjoys voice lessons, shopping, and spending time with family & friends

Taylor is 12 years old and is in the 6th grade. This is her seventh year at TBPAA. Her Previous roles include: Legally Blonde Jr (Margot), Hairspray JR (Tammy/Principal/Dynamite), Alice in Wonderland JR (Small Alice), Seussical JR (Sour Kangaroo), Jungle Book KIDS (Kaa the Snake), and Cinderella KIDS (Gus the Mouse). She enjoys swimming, biking, drawing, reading and listening to music.

AnaSofia is an 8th grader at Plato Academy. She has been involved in acting & commercials since she was 4 years old. This is her third year at TBPAA. Her credits include Legally Blonde JR (Kate, Enid, Kiki), Hairspray JR (Prudy Pingleton) & Moana at Ruth Eckerd Hall. She is also on the Sr. Encore Performace Team. In her free time, she enjoys doing crafts & playing piano.
