SpongeBob (Logan Swope)
Logan is thrilled to be playing Spongebob in this amazing show. Some of his favorite past shows have been Avenue Q and Spelling Bee here at Starlight, Cabaret (Zoni nom) at Spotlight, and Bye Bye Birdie at DFT. He thanks Dan, Elise, and Cydney for trusting him with this role.
Patrick Starr (Bear Golden)
Bear is incredibly excited and honored to be playing a dream role if his in the Arizona premiere of Spongebob with such an incredibly talented cast! He was most recently seen in Starlight’s production of One Flew Over The Cuckoo’s Nest as Billy Bibbit. He has also been seen in Carrie the Musical (Stokes), … Putnam County Spelling Bee (Mitch Mahoney), and Puffs (J. Finch-Fletchly (Zoni Nom.) among countless other shows. Bear is incredibly thankful for his friends and family who put up with all this theater bologna, and to his mother who showed him the way to the stage.
Sandy Cheeks (Tatum Sosnowski)
Tatum is a 19-year-old film major at Huntington University. They have been participating in musical theatre since the age of ten. This is their second production at Starlight alongside Footloose the Musical. Tatum also enjoys playing the ukulele and volunteering at Sun Valley Animal Shelter. They want to thank Dan, Cydney, and Elise for this amazing opportunity!
Squidward Q. Tentacles (Joshua Merrill)
Joshua is super excited to be in this production of SpongeBob! Recent show credits include Putnam County Spelling Bee (Zoni Nom) at Starlight and Hello, Dolly! at Zao. He would like to thank his parents and brother for their constant support, Dan, Cydney and Elise for giving him the chance to bring the character of Squidward to life onstage, and to his cast and crew for making this experience a great one!
Eugene H. Krabs (Alec Merrill)
Alec Merrill is very excited to perform in this wonderful show. His previous works include Hello Dolly at Zao Theater, Footloose, Spelling Bee, Addams Family and Mamma Mia at Starlight Community Theater. He would like to thank Dan Ashlock and everyone in the cast and crew of this amazing show! Break legs everyone!
Sheldon J. Plankton (Joshua Hengst)
Josh still cannot believe he is playing Plankton in this show!!! He is having a blast bringing this character to the stage, with this talented undersea cast. Josh would like to thank the cast & crew, especially his partner in crime Christina, for this amazing opportunity and experience. Josh sends big love to Noel, Kenzie, and all his family & friends for attending this production and always supporting his theater passion. Best Day Ever!
Karen the Computer (Christina Clodt)
Originally from California, Christina has performed in dozens of local productions. Her favorite roles include Prudy Pingleton in Hairspray and Lola in Damn Yankees!. She was last seen on stage as Mrs. White in Clue. Offstage, she is a mom to grown up humans and a menagerie of beasts. She would like to thank Cydney, Dan, Cathy and Elise for this amazing adventure, Joshua and her family for their enduring love and support.
Pearl Krabs (Tiffany Valenzuela)
This is Tiffany's second show ever and she is super grateful to be back onstage bringing Pearl to life after such a long intermission. Thank you to this insanely talented cast and crew for this experience and to my family for all their support and vitamin L!
Perch Perkins (JC Kovac)
Breaking News: JC is excited to be making his theatre debut in Bikini Bottom with this wonderful cast and crew. He would like to thank Maria, Makayla and Haizy for all their support and love. He would also like to thank Dan, Cydney and Elise for giving him this great opportunity.
Mayor of Bikini Bottom (Lynn Golden)
Lynn is not nearly this bossy in real life. Previous Valley shows include Dracula, Annie, The Pajama Game (Starlight), Hello Dolly, The Sound of Music (Zao), Spider’s Web, A Christmas Story, Damn Yankees, Nuncrackers, Moon Over Buffalo (DST). Lynn is a Grant Officer at ASU. Thanks to my squad - Bear, Abby, Brad, Momma, the Ashlocks, the DMs, Ted, Amie, & Eric. Props to Elise and Cyd for their support. I’m a lucky fish in this sea.
Patchy the Pirate & Ensemble (Logan Holmes)
Logan is excited to be returning to Starlight as Patchy. He was last seen at SCT as Ren in Footloose. Logan also just finished another show at Mesa Encore Theatre He was Hero in A Funny Thing Happened On The Way To The Forum. He would like to thank the Starlight crew, his family, and friends for all the support, especially his mom who's been with him every step of the way throughout this show. Love you, Mom.

Colleen Rose Thompson is READY to appear in the Arizona premiere of The SpongeBob Musical at Starlight Community Theater! She's been using her IMAGINATION to join in a variety of live & virtual performances around town and recently had the BEST DAY EVER as Candy Starr in Starlight's Cuckoo's Nest and Clarissa Hailsham-Brown in Agatha Christie's Spider's Web (Desert Stages). Buster Bluetang & Ensemble (Lorenzo Escudero)
Lorenzo is excited to be making his Arizona Theater debut here at Starlight in SpongeBob. Since graduating college with his degree in musical theatre he has looked forward to getting the chance to shine on stage. His previous acting roles in Arizona include Adrian Crypt in Cask and Crypt with Aside Theater. He wants to give special thanks to Dan, Cydney and Elise for taking a chance with him and granting him this opportunity, as well as his Mom and Dad for always supporting him.
Larry the Lobster & Ensemble (Eeshan Shrenik Kumar )
Spongebob will always have a special place in Eeshan heart. This is his first show ever and he's so glad to spend it with an amazing cast/crew. “Livin’ like Larry” will always stick by me for the rest of my life. Eeshan will never forget this production, and will be forever grateful to have had an amazing crew by my side and helping step by step.
Electric Skate & Ensemble (Barbara Dalmazzo)
Barbara is excited to be back on the stage after a two-year absence. Her love for acting started at an early age in her native country of Argentina. She moved to the United Stated at age 11. She has previously participated in other musicals, including The Pajama Game (SCT) and Oliver! (DST). Additionally, she portrayed Mitzy in the play A Murder is Announced (DST). Barbara thanks her family for their love and support.
Electric Skate & Ensemble (Rhiannon Cummings)
Rhiannon is excited to return to Starlight after ten years of being off the stage. She was last seen as the Queen of Hearts (Alice in Wonderland Jr.) and in the ensemble in Grease. While away, she briefly studied vocal performance at the University of Arizona. Rhiannon would like to thank her friends and family, but most of all her husband for encouraging her to get back on the stage.
Electric Skate & Ensemble (Kiley Bishop)
Kiley, a frequent user of Spongebob quotes, was most recently seen as Helena in Midsummer (Arizona Theatre Matters) and Miss Gardner in Carrie the Musical (Brelby Theatre Company). Other highlights include performing with ASU’s Farce Side Sketch Comedy and Barren Mind Improv (JWD forever!). Kiley works as a graphic designer, moonlights as a social media manager for her ferrets, and spends her free time with eight wheels attached to her feet.
Ensemble (Alex Palacios)
Alex is extremely excited to make her community theatre debut in SpongeBob the Musical at Starlight! She wants to thank her parents for always supporting her dreams, and Dion, for always being her biggest fan. Lastly, she wants to thank Dan Ashlock for giving her this amazing opportunity!
Ensemble (Lindsay Tejera)
Lindsay has grown up dancing starting her dance career at the age of 3. She has study in all styles of dance including ballet, pointe, jazz, contemporary, tap and musical theater. Lindsay is currently the dance teacher at North Pointe Prep while also teaching dance at local studios. At North Pointe, Lindsay is involved with the school’s theater program by choreographing the main stage productions. Lindsay would like to thank her mom and dad for their love and support.
Ensemble (Marisa Tualla)
Marisa is excited to be back in theater! This is her first show with Starlight Community Theater, and first show since 2005. During her time living in China, Portugal, and Phoenix she continued to be an avid theater goer, church singer, and joined any dance class she could find. She wants to thank her friends and family for their constant support.
Ensemble (Robin Ross Holmes )
Robin is happy to be back on stage with her son, "Patchy the Pirate." She never dreamed that she would one day play a dancing "F" and she would like to thank Starlight for such an incredible role. Robin has performed on stages all over the United States from Jackson Hole to Los Angeles, California. Her favorite Zoni nominated role was Sara in Children of a Lesser God. Thank you to my husband Greg for sharing me and to the cast for letting me "play" with you all. Best days Ever!!
Foley Artist Fish (Elise Kurbat)
Elisa is thrilled to be music directing at Starlight Theatre once again with such an incredible cast! Elisa grew up in Cleveland, Ohio where she went to Kent State University for Criminology and then Baldwin Wallace Conservatory for piano and voice. While in Ohio, Elisa played piano for Mansfield Orchestra, while maintaining a full piano and vocal studio. Elisa's love for musical theatre was realized when she first music directed Cinderella. Since then, she's music directed many musicals. Her favorites include The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee, Urinetown, Cabaret, You're A Good Man Charlie Brown, Theory of Relativity, Footloose, Addams Family, and Spring Awakening. Elisa currently works at Arizona School for the Arts in the theatre arts department, and continues to teach privately. Thank you to Dan and Cydney for being such fantastic teammates, and many thanks to her wonderful husband, family and friends who are incredibly supportive of this crazy career.
