Bob Taylor
Bob Taylor is directing at Starlight for the first time. He is pleased to have had this opportunity to be able to direct such a seasoned group of professionals. He has previously been involved with building sets for Xanadu and Loving Lives. Since moving to Arizona from Pennslyvania. Bob has acted in several shows at DST: Spiders Web, Importance of being Earnest, The Sunshine Boys (also directed), Bleacher Bums (also directed). He can be seen in The Mousetrap later this summer at DST, and will be directing The Play That Goes Wrong opening in November at DST. He was also thrilled to be involved in the very moving production of The Laramie Project at Theater at Nativity. Bob has been a member of the Murder Mystery Company out of Phoenix for the last two years. Bob lives with his wife Deb and their two dogs in Apache Junction. His favorite quote is “There is nothing that compares to live theater, you don't get a second take.”

Phyl Deany
Phyl hales from Michigan where her theatre career began as a dancing scarecrow. After 60 years of hard work and a whole lot of fun in Michigan, Indiana, Texas and now Arizona, Phyl is delighted to have found Starlight Community Theater. Sit back and hang on because it's gonna be a bumpy ride as Misery unfolds!
Lighting Designer
Bill Griffith
Bill is proud to be working with starlight again. He has previously designed lights for both "Done to Death" and "The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Nighttime". He has also been on the stage in "One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest" and "Much Ado About Nothing". An IL transplant, he has been working for over twenty years in various capacities with different theaters both here and in IL.

Sam Fitch has no past nor future. He happily does whatever his wife (stage manager, Phyl) wants. Enjoy the show.

Original Creative Team

The original Broadway production of MISERY opened on November 15, 2015.  It was directed by Will Frears and starred Laurie Metcalf as Annie Wilkes, Burce Willis as Paul Sheldon, and Leon Addison Brown as Buster.
