Nathan Tysen
LyricistIn addition to his work with Chris Miller, Nathan was represented on Broadway in 2017 as co-lyricist of AMELIE (Music and co-lyrics by Dan Messé). In 2016 he received the Kleban Award for most promising lyricist. He is currently writing lyrics to PARADISE SQUARE (Direction by Moisés Kaufman, choreography by Bill T. Jones). Tysen is also librettist and co-composer of the rock theatre piece STILLWATER with his band Joe’s Pet Project which premiered at Kansas City Repertory Theatre. With composer Ryan McCall, he wrote the book and lyrics to the family holiday musical NOAH'S ART. Nathan is currently a Grammy nominee for the London cast recording of AMELIE.
Rick Dines
DirectorRick is the Managing Artistic Director of Springfield Contemporary Theatre (SCT). Rick has directed over 50 productions in Springfield, MO including THE MYSTERY OF EDWIN DROOD, RAGTIME, A RAISIN IN THE SUN, HANDS ON A HARDBODY, TRIBES, XANADU and SPRING AWAKENING for SCT. For Springfield Little Theatre, Rick directed The Who’s Tommy. New York directing credits include HANKY PANKY for the Midtown International Theatre Festival, POUNDCAKE! at Don’t Tell Mama and multiple casts in the national tour of the off-Broadway hit GIRLS NIGHT: THE MUSICAL. Rick also directed the world premiere of Vicki Vodrey’s HANKY PANKY for the Kansas City Fringe Festival. On stage Rick has been seen on stage as Bruce Bechdel in FUN HOME, John Wilkes Booth in ASSASSINS, Ned Weeks in THE NORMAL HEART and Alan in GOD OF CARNAGE for SCT as well as Paul Sycamore in YOU CAN’T TAKE IT WITH YOU for Tent Theatre.
