About Little Women

Louisa May Alcott’s Little Women, adapted by Thomas Hischak, follows the exciting coming-of-age stories of the March girls: Meg, the sensible eldest daughter; Jo, the exuberant and tomboy heroine; Beth, the quiet and talented pianist; and Amy, the spirited youngest March girl. Come see how each of them grows up, surrounded by the people they love, the people they learn to love, and the love they inevitably learn to give to themselves. To create professional theatre at an educational level by providing students with opportunities for performance and technical theatre that challenge and extend their creativity, making connections between theatre, other content areas, and life, while fostering a lifelong appreciation for the arts.

 

VISION STATEMENT

The San Dieguito Academy Theatre Program focuses on developing and cultivating theatre skills that will be beneficial to students after high school.  Primary areas of focus include improvisation, character development, acting techniques and theories, auditioning, playwriting, the production process, theatre history, and technical theatre and design.
