Big Joe (Paul Brecht)
has never been a part of any theatrical production before, and is beyond excited and grateful to make his theatrical debut with Salesianum’s company of The Unfortunates. He recalls being ecstatic when he learned he was offered the role of Big Joe. “I surprised myself, and that's hard to do,” he said. Beyond his newfound thespian life, he might be found at work on any sort of project or hobby. Between fishing, painting, lifting, graphic design, reading, or creative writing, nothing is beyond reach. Audaces Fortuna Iuvat.
Rae (Olivia Kessler)
This is Olivia’s 4th SST show! Some of her favorite roles include Kathryn Schaub in Radium Girls and U/S Seymour Krelborn in Little Shop. Olivia would like to thank the entire SST company, her friends, family, Lynne Morse, and Sharon McGee for their support.
CJ/Rook (Sebastian Gervay)
is a junior at Salesianum School. Past roles include Sky in Mamma Mia! (Padua Theatre), Harry Houdini in Ragtime (SST), Seymour in Little Shop of Horrors (SST), and Mike in Freaky Friday (Ursuline Theatre). Sebastian is very excited to be part of this production and would like to thank his family, friends, and the whole company for their assistance and support.
Koko/Rook (Lauren Perry)
This is Lauren’s 2nd SST show! She has played Ronnette in LSH (SST) , Annie in Annie JR ( kingsway middle school), and was a mersister in The Little Mermaid ( Padua theater)! She has been dancing for 12 years and is a member of Padua Dance Team! She would like to thank the company, her friends, and family for all of their support and a special thanks to her vocal coach Renee Liciaga!
Handsome Carl/Rook (Robert Gruszka)
is excited for his 5th show at SST. This will be his 20th show that he has been a part of. Some of his favorite roles include Reporter, Berry, Knef - Radium Girls (STT) and Waiter - Incident at Vichy (SST). He would like to thank his family and his friends for always supporting his adventures in the theater community.
Coughlin/Rook (Luke Plunkett)
A current junior at Salesianum and part of SST, I played the role of Younger Brother in Ragtime and Lebeau in Incident at Vichy. I most recently appeared as Prince Eric in The Little Mermaid at Padua Academy and as Parker in Freaky Friday at Ursuline Academy. I’ve acted since I was 9 years old and am grateful for all of my past shows at Delaware Children’s Theatre, Candlelight Theatre, Wilmington Drama League, Walnut Street Theatre, Milburn Stone Theatre, DAST, and Sketch Club Players. Preacher (Wyatt Enslen)
This is Wyatt’s 4th production with SST! His favorite past parts are Mr. Mushnik in “Little Shop of Horrors” (SST) and Schwartz in “A Christmas Story the Musical” (WDL). Wyatt would like to thank Mr. Bogad for the fantastic opportunity to be a part of The Unfortunates as well as his mom and sister for taking him home from rehearsal everyday.
Roxy (Caroline Manley)
is a junior at Ursuline Academy, and it is her fifth time performing in a musical and 2nd SST production. She has performed in Bright Star, Ragtime, Songs for a New World, and Freaky Friday. She is very excited to be playing Roxy in The Unfortunates. She thanks her friends and family for the support and wishes all of the cast and crew good luck!
Foxy (First Weekend) (Kiley Williams)
is a junior at Ursuline Academy. She is very excited to be a part of her first SST production. Some of her favorite previous roles include Ellie in Freaky Friday and Cosette in Les Misérables. Kiley would like to thank her friends, family, and the entire SST company for their support.
Foxy (Second Weekend) (Olivia Segeda)
This is Olivia’s 7th production with SST. Past roles include Irene Rudolph in “Radium Girls”, Professor Hoffman/student producer in “Incident at Vichy”, and Vera in “She Kills Monsters”. Olivia would like to thank her parents, friends, and everyone involved in SST for their support.
General Goodtimes/The Doctor (Palida Jaratsongkiti)
is excited to be participating in this project. They have contributed to the play Freaky Friday as a gym teacher and a police, Song For A New World, and Bright Star as stage crew. This will be their first time as part of SST. They would like to thank SST company, their friends, family, and their host family for their support.
Stack-O-Lee/Enemy Soldier (Jaylyn Jennings)
is excited to participate in The Unfortunates. He is a 16 year old junior at Salesianum. He decided to participate because of constant encouragement by Ms. Lantz. He likes video games, Anime, and learning.

is thrilled to be part of the Unfortunates musical experience. He has acted in and helped produce 9 theatrical productions at St. Edmonds Academy, Ursuline Academy, and Salesianum School. Past roles include Cogsworth in Beauty and the Beast, Doctor/Lawyer/Fireman in Ragtime, Mr. Blumen in Freaky Friday, and a Disciple in Godspell. He would like to thank the cast and crew for helping to create a wonderful work environment, in which he could strive to do his best. He would also like to thank Ramiz Monsef, Jon Beavers, Ian Merrigan, and the rest of the writers for letting us produce such an amazing show.

After making a last minute decision to audition with Paul Brecht, Chandler was astonished to get a role in the musical. He could not be more excited to take part in this production! His favorite color is red and his favorite food is Buffalo Chicken.
