TURNING Filmmakers

Ishpreet Singh has been attending the Public Academy for Performing Arts since sixth grade. He has been pursuing a career in Film, and Photography. Ishpreet has been apart of advanced film since his freshman year, and also took film though is middle school years at PAPA. Ishpreet has submitted his work in many film festivals throughout his years at PAPA and was a 3rd place winner for the Breaking Good Film Contest. He is passionate about film and hopes to continue growing in film in college. I felt a strong pull to film through the magic of what can be translated through filmography. Through film I am allowed to express how I feel or about a social issue and make it be shown and brought out to the open. This year in film I wanted to make a zombie film detailing how a teenager/highschooler would handle a stressful lockdown situation with zombies. The focus is to show the lengths one will go through to live even if it means killing the ones we love.

Walker Dodson-Sands I'm an actor, filmmaker, photographer, and model. As an actor, I strive to really become someone else, and, as a result, help tell stories in meaningful and emotional ways. Becoming a character that people care about(or don't) allows me to be a part of many things greater than myself. Walker is an actor, filmmaker, and many other things. In his spare time, you can find him playing card games and Dungeons and Dragons, as well as enjoying a plethora of foreign media from East Asia. He plans on attending the Santa Fe Community College in the fall.

Anthony Nguyen Alongside Ishpreet Singh and Walker Dodson Sands, I hope to showcase everything I have learned in Ms.Hudson’s Film Class through the medium of a zombie film, from the visual art of cinematography to the audio world of sound design. I hope to bring my personal vision of a fun and entertaining film to the greater cooperative whole of the work. I hope my (and my peers’) passion for the artistic medium of film shine through in our work. Under the tutelage of Sue Hudson and the Public Academy for Performing Arts, Anthony Nguyen hopes to exhibit and display his knowledge and passion for film in his collaborative zombie film. Alongside Walker Dodson Sans and Ishpreet Singh, he aims to entertain and invest the audience in the world that he and his collaborators will present. Most of all, he hopes their vision and the quality put into it will shine through in their work.
