Joy has danced professionally in numerous classical ballets.  Among her favorites are: Giselle, Swan Lake, Don Quixote, Corsaire, Cinderella, Romeo and Juliet, and The Nutcracker.  Her favorite lead role was Blue Girl in the ballet Les Biches, choreographed by Bronislava Nijinska—famous Russian female dancer/choreographer of the early twentieth century.
