The Mystery of Edwin Drood Cast

Helena Landless/Janet Conover (Sarah J. Barry)
Sarah Barry is a junior at AITE. She has always enjoyed performing and spent almost ten years as a ballet dancer before trying theater. She performed with American Ballet Theater in Le Corsaire at the Metropolitan Opera House in NYC. She played Clara in Connecticut Ballet’s The Nutcracker at the Palace Theater in Stamford and performed in a variety of other ballets. In fall 2021, she performed in her first musical in Stamford All School Musical’s All Together Now as Belle in “Be Our Guest” and Velma in “You Can’t Stop the Beat.” She is excited to be performing as Helena Landless in The Mystery of Edwin Drood and would like to thank all those who made this show come together!
Neville Landless/Victor Grinstead (Niko Rinaldi)
Niko is a freshman at Westhill High School and is honored to be performing in his first Northstar Playmakers musical production. He has previously appeared in Northstar Playmakers Our Macbeth and the Stamford All School Musical productions of All Together Now (Featured Soloist) Matilda (Doctor),Willy Wonka (Featured Kid/Oompa Loompa) and The Wizard of Oz (City Father). Past productions also include Curtain Call’s The Drowsy Chaperone (Aldolpho) and Matilda (Older Student). Niko enjoys performing with Shine Theatre Arts Project and the Broadway Youth Ensemble throughout New York City and can be seen in the film production of In The Heights. Niko would like to thank the cast and crew for a great run.
John Jasper / Clive Paget (Austin Tovar)
Austin is a senior at Westhill High School and is excited to be a part of his final Northstar performance! He has previously acted in other Northstar shows, including Crimes of the Heart (2018), 9 to 5 (2019), and The Fantasticks (2019) He’d like to give a big thank you to everyone who has come out to support him and to the production team for making the show possible!
Phillipa Bax/Bazzard (Sophia Masone)
Sophia is a junior at Westhill High School, and this will be her first musical production with Northstar on the stage. Previously, she performed in Our Macbeth in the fall, playing the role of Banquo. She was also in the online production “Comedy of Errors” with Northstar in spring 2021, and several other productions in the past as well. She is also the Communications Director of the Northstar Board. She would like to thank the cast, crew, and amazing directors for all their hard work, and is excited for the show!
Alice Nutting/Edwin Drood/Datchery (Kristina DeLelle)
Kristina is thrilled to be back on stage and honored to portray the titular character in The Mystery of Edwin Drood. She is a junior at WHS who has been dancing and performing from a young age in Curtain Call productions and at Stagedoor Manor. Her favorite performances include Anything Goes (Ensemble), Seussical Jr (Sour Kangaroo) and Annie (Duffy). Kristina is grateful for her parents’ support and extends deep thanks to Mat, Kelly and Mr Garcia for this wonderful opportunity!
Wendy (Claire Chasanoff)
Claire is a junior in the Agriscience and Technology Program at Westhill High School. This is Claire’s first year performing in the Spring Musical and she is thrilled to be a part of The Mystery of Edwin Drood. Some past productions include Schoolhouse Rock Jr. (Dori), So What?! (April), and Shrek Jr. (Teen Fiona/Goldie Locks). In addition to musical theatre and singing, Claire enjoys being an FFA Officer in the Agriscience Program, working at a florist, volunteering with rabbits/small animals, serving as a board member of Westhill’s Northstar Playmakers, and more. She would like to thank her family and everyone involved in making this such an amazing show, including Mat, Kelly, Mr. Garcia, the parent board, and the very talented cast and crew!!
Flo/Ms.Florence Gill (Jana Coppola)
Jana is a senior at Westhill High School and is thrilled to say that this is her first year performing in the Spring Musical. She is part of the Northstar Playmakers board as a board representative. Some past productions include Seussical (Jojo), The Phantom Tollbooth (The Whether Man), and Snow White Jukebox (Snow White). Jana enjoys dancing ballet, pointe, contemporary, and jazz and working to teach young dancers the fundamentals of ballet, as well as going to concerts and Broadway shows. She would like to thank her parents and her brother, Mat, Kelly, and Mr. Garcia for all of their guidance and support, and the entire wonderful cast and crew!!
Jane Throttle, Stage Manager, Voting Manager (Meghan McLaughlin)
Meghan is a Junior at Westhill and is a member of the Stamford Agriscience and Technology Program. This is Meghan's second production with Northstar and is thrilled to be a part of The Mystery of Edwin Drood. Some of her past productions include Our Macbeth (Macbeth), and Dear Edwina Jr (Carrie). She would like to thank the wonderful cast and crew, Mat, Kelly, Mr. Garcia, The parent board, and her parents and brother!!!
Chairman/ Miss Wilma Cartwright/ Mayor Thomas Sapsea  (Noelle Giordano)
Noelle is a senior at WHS and is this year's President of the Northstar Playmakers. Earlier this season, she portrayed the role of Lady Macbeth in Northstar's "Our Macbeth." She is a coffee addict, leads worship at her youth group, and sings in the WHS choir. "I want to thank Mat Young, Mr. Garcia, Kelly Nayden, the tech crew, and the best cast, who have made my last show special."
MABEL / Miss Gwendolyn Pynn (Gillian Phillips)
Gillian Phillips is a senior at Westhill High School. While this is her first musical with the Northstar Playmakers, this is not her first year as a club member. Gillian was previously on the tech crew, working on shows like "Barefoot in the Park" and "The Shape of the Grave." She sings in the Westhill Choir and is known for always cracking a joke with fellow cast members. She will be attending Southeastern University in the fall. She gives her deepest regards to Mat Young, Mr. Garcia, Kelly Nayden, Mr. DiGiovanna, the crew, and the cast for making this an unforgettable experience.
DURDLES/ Mrs. Nicole Cricker (Grace Gerard )
Grace Gerard is a freshman at Westhill High School and believe it or not, this is the first year that she has been involved in musical theater. In the Northstar Playmaker's fall production, "Our Macbeth," she played one of the zombies and loved every moment. Grace enjoys horseback riding, visiting coffee shops, singing for the Westhill Choir, and leading worship at her youth group. She wants to thank Mat Young, Mr. Garcia, Kelly Nayden, Mr. DiGiovanna, the tech crew, and the cast that have become family, for kicking off her first musical.
DEPUTY/ / Nikki Cricker (America Laist)
America is a sophomore at Westhill High School. She has previously appeared in Stamford All School Musical's Matilda as part of the ensemble, and has been on the crew for Stamford All School Musical's Wizard of Oz, Willy Wonka, and All Together Now. She is very excited to make her acting debut on stage in Northstar's Mystery of Edwin Drood. She would also like to thank her grandmother who has nurtured her love of theater and everyone who has helped in making this production!
HE REVEREND MR. CRISPARKLE/ Mr. Cedric Moncrieffe (Teo Boruchin)
Teo is a junior at Westhill and this is his first year with Northstar. Drood is his second show at WHS previously playing The Host/King Duncan in Our Macbeth. He has also played Rooster in Annie, Lazar Wolf in The Fiddler on the Roof, and was able to co-direct a G&S production of The Pirates Of Penzance. Outside of school, he loves to play guitar and video games. Thank you to the cast and crew of Drood, with a special thanks to Mat, Kelly, and Mr. Garcia for making this show happen. Enjoy the show!
THE PRINCESS PUFFER/ Miss Angela Prysock (Rebecca Masi )
Rebecca is a senior at Westhill and this is her third year with Northstar, and she is also the Vice President of the club! This is her first full show in Northstar, and she is excited to be playing The Princess Puffer! Outside of school, she loves to sing and spend time with her friends. Thank you to the cast and crew of Drood, and a special thanks to our director, Mat, our choreographer, Kelly, and our music director, Mr. Garcia for making this show possible and an extremely fun experience!
ROSA BUD/ Miss Deirdre Peregrine  (Madison Anderson)
Maddi is in 11th grade and is excited to have the opportunity to begin to perform again. Maddi started her onstage career at age 5 when she was featured in a production of The Sound of Music playing a nun. She also performed in her middle schools productions throughout the three years. In 6th grade she was part of the ensemble of Shrek the Musical, and continued her drive for musical theatre by acquiring lead roles as Ariel in The Little Mermaid (7th grade) and Maysie La Bird in Seuissical (8th grade). Maddi has also attended A Class Act New York summer workshops, and is excited to use the skills taught to her there in her performance as Rosa Bud in The Mystery of Edwin Drood. She’s overwhelmingly excited to be working alongside such a talented cast, and she cannot wait for you to enjoy the show!
