About Seussical JR.

Horton the Elephant, the Cat in the Hat and all of your favorite Dr. Seuss characters spring to life onstage in Seussical JR., a fantastical musical extravaganza from Tony-winners, Lynn Ahrens and Stephen Flaherty.

Transporting audiences from the Jungle of Nool to the Circus McGurkus, the Cat in the Hat narrates the story of Horton the Elephant, who discovers a speck of dust containing tiny people called the Whos. Horton must protect the Whos from a world of naysayers and dangers, and he must also guard an abandoned egg that's been left in his care by the irresponsible Mayzie La Bird.  Although Horton faces ridicule, danger and a trial, the intrepid Gertrude McFuzz never loses faith in him.  Ultimately, the powers of friendship, loyalty, family and community are challenged and emerge triumphant!

Nativity of Mary Theatre

Nativity of Mary's music program began performing musicals in 2006. Miss Maria Milazzo was given the position of Director of Music in January 2016. By fall of 2016,  Miss Milazzo along with her sister Katia Milazzo, both Nativity of Mary alumni, re-structured the program with the needs of the community in mind. Beginning with Disney's "The Little Mermaid" in February 2017, Nativity of Mary Theatre was born and has encouraged students 3rd through 8th grades to develop their passion for the performing arts.

Nativity of Mary Theatre provides opportunity to ALL students who show interest in acting, singing, dancing, or just looking to be a part of a musical community. Some students have found talents they didn't know they had, others who have always loved music and theatre built upon their foundation and grew as performers, and some others who never thought they would like being in a musical had the time of their lives! The program has attracted audience members of all ages and the question on everyone's mind now is, "What will the next musical be?" The program will continue to grow and foster the minds of young singers, dancers, and actors for years to come.
