featuring Indradeep Ghosh, Brajeswar Mukherjee & Gourisankar Karmakar

Indradeep Ghosh, known as the “Prince of Violin,” is one of the premier violinists and one and only Hindustani Classical Violist (Bass
Violin) of India. Indradeep is a trailblazer for Maihar Gharana. He is an “A” grade artist of All India Radio and Television. Indradeep initially
started playing violin at the tender age of six under the guidance of Sri Anamitra Mustafi. He has been under the tutelage of Professor Smt. Sisirkana Dhar Chowdhury since 1991. Indradeep Ji has also had the privilege of training with different maestros of Indian Classical Music including Pandit V.G.Jog and Pandit Kumar Bose. Indradeep is the Artistic Director for Global Creative Arts Academy (GCAA), Houston, Texas and serves as a faculty instructor at the School of Indian Percussion and Music in Austin, Texas.

Brajeswar Mukherjee is one of the most promising young vocalists of Hindustani Classical Music and a foremost disciple of the great
Guru Pandit Ajoy Chakrabarty. He is a regular artiste of All India Radio & Television and is currently working as a junior Guru at the
ITC Sangeet Research Academy in Kolkata. Brajeswar Ji has performed at numerous concerts around the globe including those held in:
India, the UK, USA, Canada, France, Greece, the Middle East & Singapore He has received the Prestigious Ustad Bismillah Khan Puva
Puraskar from Sangeet Naatak Akademi, Govt. of India. He is also a recipient of Gaanwardhan award from Pune, Dhananjay Bhattacharya award from Calcutta University and National Scholarship from Govt. of India.

Gourisankar Karmakar began studying tabla at the age of three under the able guidance of his father, Pdt. Shib Shankar Karmakar – a
noted disciple of the tabla maestro, the late Ustad Keramatulla Khan. Since 1979, Gouri Ji has been under the tutelage of Pandit Sankha
Chatterjee, who is the only living maestro who has studied with three legendary tabla giants, Ustad Maseet Khan, Ustad Keramatullah
Khan, and Ustad Alla Rakha Khan, in strict Parampara tradition. Gourisankar is an A grade artist of All India Radio and Television. He has
toured internationally for the last 30 years and has accompanied many eminent artists such as: Pandit Hariprasad Chaurasia, Pandit
Jasraj, Lakshmi Shankar, Ustad Shahid Parvez, and many more. In 2008, Gouri Ji established the School of Percussion and Music in
Austin Texas. Gourisankar’s signature yearly production, World Music Unleashed, brings invited musicians of different genres together to
collaborate and perform within the World Music genre. Such collaborations have included well-known international artists: Drummer/ Steve Smith, Steel Pan player/ Liam Teague and Hammond B3 Legend/Tony Monaco as well as regional artists: José Manuel Tejeda/Flamenco Guitar, Austin, & Mount Vernon’s own, Jerry Fields/Percussion & Drumset, Atlanta, among others.
