Student Artwork Silent Auction

Manatee County student artists were given the opportunity to enter original work into the Arts Alive Honor Gallery Competition.  We received nearly 100 entries for consideration.  Experts judges reviewed and selected their 20 favorite pieces to hang in the Arts Alive Honor Gallery Exhibit.  The exhibit will be on display during the Arts Alive event in the Grove Ballroom on March 30.  Each student who had a piece selected for the exhibit will receive a cash prize.  All Honor Gallery artwork will be available for purchase via a silent auction during the Arts Alive Welcome Reception from 5:00 - 6:30.  Student artists will be present and ready to speak to guests about their creative process and answer questions from potential buyers.  Starting bids will range from $50 - $200.  All money raised from the silent auction will be divided and given to participating schools to fund the purchase of art materials and resources for their classrooms.  Guests may pay with cash, check, or credit card at the conclusion of the Arts Alive event.
