Founded in 1989 by Edward P. Fiscella, Jr., Mainstage began as a summer theater program at Glen Landing Middle School. Its success led to year-round programming, incorporation as a nonprofit in 1994, and a rebrand in 1997. Without a dedicated theater, we formed partnerships to provide arts education and performances across the region.

Today, Mainstage serves over 50,000 people annually, directly reaching 1,200 children through classes and workshops. Recognized as one of South Jersey’s top performing arts centers, we are supported by grants, sponsorships, and contributions, with backing from the New Jersey State Council on the Arts.
