Peter (Camela Ebaugh)
Camela has danced in Kinetics Dance Theatre’s Professional Company since 2006. She studied dance at Howard Community College and Towson University while obtaining her Bachelor of Science Degree in Special Education. Camela’s professional dance experience includes teaching with Eastern Dance Association, performing with The Baltimore Dance Center, and choreographing high school musicals. She has a love of theatre as well and has choreographed for Pasadena Theatre Company where she also performed in numerous productions. More recently, Camela has become involved in the swing dancing and ballroom community. Camela received her Master’s Degree from Johns Hopkins University in Special Education-Severe to Profound Disabilities and taught special education at Howard County Public Schools. She is a proud homeschooling mom of three children.
Wolf (Leah Dorsey)
Leah has been dancing locally since they were 4 years old, focusing on ballet, modern, and tap. After graduating high school, they wanted to continue dancing alongside pursuing a degree in astronautical engineering at Capitol Technology University. Leah has been dancing with the Kinetics Dance Company since 2019 and is excited to be surrounded by such a creative and open community of dancers. They are fortunate to have the opportunity to pursue dance as a creative outlet, while maintaining their aspirations for the advancement of space technology.
Cat (Laura Roslyn Murphy)
Laura began her artistic training under the direction of Veronica Mack and Dawn Macey-Boyette, studying classical ballet and tap. As she advanced in her technical training, Laura added jazz, pointe, lyrical, contemporary, partnering, hip hop, poms, modern, and Bollywood dance to her performing repertoire. In 2017, Laura graduated from Mount Holyoke College in Massachusetts, earning two Bachelor of Arts degrees in Dance and Biology. She was presented with the Sarah Williston Senior Prize and inducted into the theta chapter of Phi Beta Kappa, the oldest and most prestigious honor society for the liberal arts in the nation. During her time at Mount Holyoke, Laura explored the vast kinesthetic capacity of the moving body through the unique lens of biology and dance choreography / performance. Laura is honored to be a member of the Robinson lab at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, where she is fortunate to investigate cellular mechanics as a means of understanding and combating various disease states. As SARE Director, lab member, and Program Coordinator for the Johns Hopkins Initiative for Careers in Science and Medicine (CSM), she enjoys offering academic fortification, professional development, and scientific research opportunities to high school scholars. Outside of the lab, Laura loves enhancing her artistry and sharing her passion for dance with her ‘stars’ at Stars Studio of Dance.
Bird (Elizabeth Saltmarsh Wilson)
Elizabeth Saltmarsh Wilson has been an enthusiastic amateur dancer for the past 31 years. She began dancing with the North Star Ballet School in Fairbanks, Alaska, and after a brief hiatus during college she joined the world of adult ballet while working on her Ph.D. in Aerospace Engineering. Since moving to Maryland in 2015 she has danced with a variety of schools and teachers, finally finding a home with the Kinetics Dance School and later the Company. She has been a Company member for the past two years and has thoroughly enjoyed being able to use the moniker "professional dancer", a title which brings the same amount of pride as her Ph.D.
Grandfather (Angela Stein)
Angela has performed with Kinetics Dance Theatre’s Professional Company since 2007. Her formal dance training began in classical ballet with Carol Maxwell and the Ellicott City Ballet Guild. It has expanded to include Broadway jazz, tap, musical theatre, and contemporary dance over more than thirty years of continued dance education. Angela’s dance experience also includes choreography of musicals such as Annie, Anything Goes, and Cabaret with various Baltimore area theatres, where she also performed in numerous productions. She is also an avid yogi and Licensed Massage Therapist.
