About Boy Gets Girl

JSU Theatre and Film presents a virtual production of Boy Gets Girl by Rebecca Gilman. This modern-day thriller follows Theresa Bedell, a successful magazine writer who agrees to a blind date with a young man named Tony. When Theresa decides not to pursue a relationship with him, Tony refuses to take “no” for an answer. What seems like earnest persistence quickly becomes a nightmare for Theresa as Tony invades her life in increasingly terrifying ways. Gilman’s play explores the emotional, mental, and physical toll that stalking victims experience.

We would like to thank the many people and organizations who have helped us throughout the rehearsal process and provided invaluable resources to the cast.

The Director, as well as a representative from SPARC (Stalking Prevention, Awareness, and Resource Center) will be available via live chat during the production to answer any questions you might have.
