Tara O'Grady is a singer-songwriter, recording artist, author, intuitive educator, and self proclaimed Bliss Ambassador. As the Butterfly Coach for her tourism company, she brings seekers on creative wellness retreats to Ireland, Tuscany and beyond. In addition to her five albums of jazz, blues and folk music, she published her first memoir, Migrating Toward Happiness: The Soundtrack to My Spiritual Awakening, in 2019. The inspiring story follows Tara from New York to Seattle in a 1957 Chevy Bel Air as she chases her Irish immigrant grandmother's spirit across the country, with a full soundtrack of famous songs as chapter titles to lend to the road trip's playlist. Her CD releases include: Black Irish (2010), Good Things Come to Those Who Wait (2011), A Celt in the Cotton Club (2013), Irish Bayou (2015), and Folk Songs: Songs About Real Folks (2017). Tara was featured in the award winning BBC documentary film Danny Boy: The Ballad that Bewitched the World which was nominated for best documentary at Ireland's Film & Television Awards in 2014. Her collaboration with choreographer Darrah Carr in the music/dance show Celtic Jazz Tryst was nominated by Irish Central and TG4 television for best stage performance at the 2018 Creativity & Arts Awards in Manhattan. Awarded Irish Voice’s Most Influential Woman, presented by Ireland's Prime Minister in 2010, the multi-talented band leader has performed at the Cork Jazz Festival in Ireland, the St Brigid's Day Festival in London, the An Ri Ra Montana Irish Festival in Butte, and Texas' famous South By Southwest Festival in Austin. Band (Lara Hope Trio)
Lara Hope Trio is the stripped-down version of their full band Lara Hope & The Ark-Tones, the Hudson Valley's premiere Roots Rock n Roll act! Lara is the winner of an Ameripolitan Music Award for Best Female Rockabilly Artist, and they were named the “Best Up-And-Coming Band” by New York's Hudson Valley Magazine. They've spent much of the past few years on the road, both in Europe, and in the US, and had the pleasure of touring with some of their musical heroes, including a 6 week national tour with The Brian Setzer Orchestra, and regional tours with The Blasters, and the Reverend Horton Heat. The band has also had the privilege of supporting some of the greats, including Joan Jett, Tiger Army, Gary US Bonds, Dale Watson, Big Sandy, Wayne Hancock, The 5678's, Jay Leno, and America. Most recently, they were invited to perform at the original site of the Woodstock Festival, Bethel Woods, for the 50th anniversary celebration. Matt and Lara also play as a duo, "The Gold Hope Duo", and recently self-released a very topical album called "Songs In The Key Of Quarantine", which is now available worldwide.
