Young Frankenstein is about the grandson of the infamous Victor Frankenstein, Frederick Frankenstein (pronounced "Fronk-en-steen") who inherits his family's estate in Transylvania. With the help of a hunchbacked sidekick, Igor (pronounced "Eye-gore"), and a leggy lab assistant, Inga (pronounced normally), Frederick finds himself in the mad scientist shoes of his ancestors. "It's alive!" he exclaims as he brings to life a creature to rival his grandfather's. Eventually, of course, the monster escapes and hilarity continuously abounds.

Highlands Theatre is the award-winning theatre program located at Highlands High School in Fort Thomas, KY. Led by director Jason Burgess and technical director Kyle Tieman, Highlands strives to challenge its students in productions, the classroom and beyond. Highlands Theatre is the recipient of the Cappie Award for Best Play for their 2019 production of The Diary of Anne Frank and Best Musical for their 2019 production of 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee.
