About 12 Angry Jurors

Following the closing arguments in a murder trial, the 12 members of the jury must deliberate, with a guilty verdict meaning death for the accused, an inner-city teen. As they try to reach a unanimous decision while sequestered in a room, one juror casts considerable doubt on elements of the case. Personal issues soon rise to the surface, and conflict threatens to derail the delicate process that will decide one boy's fate.  The play that contemplates the huge responsibility of a dozen ordinary people considering the guilt or innocence of a young man accused of murder, as we watch the 12 jurors bring their own histories, prejudices, and biases to the jury room as they work through this life or death decision. Originally, this play was written for men only (12 Angry Men) in a time when women could not serve jury duty. In this production, however, the play is set in the present day where the casting was gender neutral to represent a modern jury pool.
