CHRIS MEDINA (George Bailey)
Chris is the Founding Artistic Director of Funky and is beyond thrilled to share some theatre with the community. Medina loves acting and directing and designing and producing and working with kids!! Some of his favorite roles have been in productions like HARVEY, IN A DARK DARK HOUSE, KIMBERLY AKIMBO, MacHAMLET, THE NERD, THE LITTLE PRINCE and MAID TO ORDER. He recently completed his first musical with Sunrise Players as George in A WONDERFUL LIFE: THE MUSICAL. Some of his favorite shows that he has directed include DOG SEES GOD, HELLCAB, MATT & BEN, MARY POPPINS, STEEL MAGNOLIAS and FOR COLORED GIRLS. He is also the Resident Director for the summer musical program Jr. Woodland Players, which serves the youth of Teller County and some kiddos of the Springs. He holds a BA in Visual & Performing Arts from UCCS and is taking a break from his MA in Theatre Education at UNC. None of the above would not be even remotely possible without his amazing, beautiful, supportive and rock star wife!
ANNE STEWART (Mary Hatch)
Anne is sincerely excited to have the opportunity to work on IT'S A WONDERFUL LIFE with Funky Little Theater Company! She has immensely enjoyed getting to know Mary as a character, getting to figure out similarities, differences, desires, goals...all of that which makes the craft of acting so exciting. She would like to thank Chris for the chance to play such a wonderful role. She would also like to thank her parents, without whom, she would not be here at all. Finally, she would like to wish all "Happy Holidays!!"
FREDDY McDANIEL (Clarence)

KAREN ANDERSON (Jo)
Karen is delighted to be included in the cast of IT’S A WONDERFUL LIFE! The cast and crew are phenomenal. Getting to work with all these talented people has been a wonderful experience. As a Funky company member, Karen has been a part of productions such as KIMBERLY AKIMBO, [spectrum:2018] , 24SEVEN, and ALWAYS A BRIDESMAID. She has also had the privilege of working on RAPTURE, BLISTER BURN (SET); BLACKADEMICS and THE SHADOW BOX (UCCS) Thank you all for coming out and supporting local theater! CATHERINE McGUIRE (Frankie)
Catherine would like to thank Funky for including her in telling the story of this seasonal classic. She has been fortunate to have been in other Funky productions including SYLVIA, HARVEY, and [spectrum:2018]. She has also played with Craft Productions in “Shorts” and with SET. Catherine is a Star Bar company member as well as a member of the Screen Actors’ Guild. Happy Holidays!
GREG SALLEE (Uncle Billy)
Greg has now been well Funkified! You might have heard his sounds this fall in KIMBERLY AKIMBO and THE BOYS NEXT DOOR, or seen him as Lloyd in RECKLESS. Greg appreciates the great team at Funky and is looking forward to the great shows next year!
BRANDON MONTALVO (Harry Bailey)
Brandon is thrilled to be on stage reenacting a true classic, Mr. Montalvo is once again stepping into a role that is outside his wheelhouse. It has been over 10 years since Brandon has performed in 2 or more full length plays within the same calendar year - seems like just yesterday he was seen performing as the Madame in ETERNAL FLAMER: THE BALLAD OF JESSIE BLADE with Funky Down Below at The Gallery Below. What is life without a challenge ... and a little bit of fun to go along with it?
JOSEPH HURFORD-REYNOLDS (Ernie)
Jo-Jo is happy to be a part of another Funky production. He studied acting for screen in London, and currently works for Red Herring Murder Mysteries when he’s not working over nights at a gas station.
BRANDON GLAZE (Bert)
Brandon is new to the Funky family but not new to the stage. He has been in many shows during his childhood and has always loved to act, sing, and dance. He graduated from The University School last May and is spending some time on the stage waiting to head to boot camp for the United States Coast Guard. Some of his roles include Buddy the Elf in ELF THE MUSICAL, Beast in BEAUTY AND THE BEAST, the Mayor in SEUSSICAL, part of the barbershop quartet in THE MUSIC MAN, and several other roles. He hopes everyone enjoys the show.
BRUCE CARTER (Mr. Potter)
Bruce is where his joys do abound with this production of another classic American story on Funky Little Theater’s stage! Over more than 30 years, Bruce has performed with practically every theater company in our town—including Our Town—additionally as a Saturday AM Jazz host on KCME FM 88.7, and in some Colorado film productions—soon to include a principal role in The Great Divide to be directed by a profound mentor—Rebecca Wiggins—and to be filmed in the hills west of Littleton CO.
NICHOLAS REMY (Pop Bailey / Mr. Martini)
Nick returns for his second performance with Funky, after recently appearing in THE BOYS NEXT DOOR (Norman). Other regional credits include A CHRISTMAS CHAOS (Scrooge) and ONE WIFE TOO MANY (Lance). Nick is proud to be a part of this iconic story, and hopes everyone lives their own “wonderful life” during this magical time of year!
KRISTI GLAZE (Violet)
This is Kristi's third year as the Theater Director at The University School and she feels so blessed and excited to help bring this classic story to the stage. Kristi loves her University School team (Greg, Mikey, and Avery) and her students tremendously.She is also so thankful for the partnership with Chris, Meg, Thom, and the rest of the Funky Family. Kristi has been dancing since she was three years old and has choreographed, produced, and directed many shows. Some of her favorites include SCROOGE, UNCLE PHIL'S DINER, JUST BREATHE, SEUSSICAL, SHREK, TARZAN, ELF, and THE MUSIC MAN. She would like to thank God for his many blessings and her wonderful husband and four boys for all of their love and support. Love you more.
NICHOLAS CLINE (Ensemble)
Nic is a theatre major who obtained his bachelor's at Angelo State University in San Angelo, Texas. He enjoys learning circus arts such as juggling and unicycling. In addition to acting in plays, Nic takes part in the Larkspur Renaissance Fair as the High Lord Sheriff and is also a scare actor at Haunted Mines. His dream job is to be a voice actor.
JOANNE KOEHLER (Ensemble)
Joanne is happy to be returning to the Funky stage, has appeared most recently in HARVEY, BIBLE HERSTORY, and THE BIGOT with this talented group of local artists. She has also performed with several other theater companies in Colorado Springs during the last three years. She is especially thankful for her friends and family, who have supported and encouraged her in her hectic actress life.
THOM DYGERT (Ensemble)
Thom is a Funky Company Member and is very grateful and thrilled to have been a part of this Wonderful show. Heehaw! He would like to thank you very much for coming to support local theater and take part in this collaborative community holiday celebration! He would like to thank both his Funky family and the Dygert family for literally everything, and loves you all. Keep those bells ringing!
DAVE GALLO (Ensemble)
Dave attended KD Studio Actor's Conservatory (Dallas, TX), graduating in 2003 with an Associate of Arts degree. Since moving back to Colorado Springs in 2010, he has appeared in local TV commercials and several stage productions, including THE BOLD, THE YOUNG, AND THE MURDERED (Funky). Dave is also a member of Funky Little Improv.
MONICA ERCK (Ensemble)
Monica can't think of a better Christmas present than acting in one of her favorite Christmas movies with such fine actors. Happy Holidays to you all and Enjoy the Show!
ROBIN ALVORD (Ensemble)
Robin is acting in her first show with Funky and is thrilled beyond belief. She wants to thank the Funky Fam for giving her this opportunity. She truly can't wait! Everyone is awesome and very supportive. To all who come, may you enjoy this wonderful classic. This one is for you, Chuck!
BEN ROSKO (Ensemble)
Ben is currently a student at Pikes Peak Community College, having previously appeared in numerous productions at The University School throughout his high school experience. He is excited to be on stage with Funky this season. Ben thanks you all for supporting community theatre, and hopes you enjoy the show.
MEGAN McMANUS (Ensemble)
Meg is a Funky Company Member and plans on never leaving her Funky Family. Meg sends a big old thank you to Kristi and Greg for their passion for the creation and collaboration of theatre. LEXI REMY (Ensemble)
Lexie is thrilled to be making her debut with Funky and for her first show with her dad, Nick! Her most recent local productions include IT’S A WONDERFUL LIFE: THE MUSICAL, CYRANO de BURGER SHACK, and JAMES AND THE GIANT PEACH Jr. She has appeared in several short musical productions at the Academy of Children's Theater, including SHREK Jr., TOY STORY, and ANNIE.

Caitlin Anderson is playing the secretary and working backstage. She graduated from USCO last year, working as stage crew for their productions of Elf the Musical and The Music Man. Caitlin joined the Funky family this summer through 24SEVEN and Reckless. She is looking forward to working on more productions with Chris and Kristi.
LEXIE SMITH (Ensemble)
Lexie appeared on stage for the first time this summer in OUR SHORTS ARE SHOWING(Craft Productions). She is excited to be in a show with her mom and little sister and she hopes someday to get her original comic strips published.
BELLA SMITH (Ensemble)
Bella is very excited because this is the first time she's ever been in a play! Her mom and big sister have been fun to rehearse with and she really loves Pokemon and cats.
AVIGAIL MARSHALL (Ensemble)
Avi is thrilled to be in her very first play! She is in second grade at Bristol Elementary and has had so much fun working with everyone at Funky and learned so much about theater. Enjoy the show!
NEVAEH MARSHALL (Ensemble)
Nevaeh is so excited to be in her very first play! A fourth grader at Bristol Elementary, she has enjoyed working with all the cast and crew at Funky and has learned so much about theater. She hopes you enjoy the show!

Cruz is an eighteen year old highschool student with an active passion for theater. As a child, he always had a knack for the stage and a powerful voice. He has played in several different performances with the University School, such as THE MUSIC MAN and ELF THE MUSICAL. Cruz hopes to build a career in acting, and is pursuing an associates in performing arts and Pikes Peak Community College. Cruz hopes to one day inspire others to work hard for their dreams, and to always keep pushing forward even if times do become difficult.
