August: Osage County Cast

Karen Anderson ("Violet")
Karen has been a company member at Funky for one year and is tickled pink to be part of AUGUST: OSAGE COUNTY! Some of Karen's favorite shows are THE SHADOW BOX and BLACKADEMICS with the UCCS Theatre Company. Favorites at Funky include MAID TO ORDER, [spectrum], and KIMBERLY AKIMBO. Karen would like to thank the wonderful cast and crew of AUGUST: OSAGE COUNTY for making this endeavor one that she won't soon forget. Thank you all for coming out to support local theater and Funky Little Theater Co.! #thankyouchrismedina
Elizabeth Kahn ("Barbara")
Elizabeth is honored to play in her second major role with Funky. Acting and Directing have been her passion since moving to Colorado Springs in 1995, and she’s so grateful to the wonderful cast and crew for making this show so much fun. Thanks to Beth for her brilliant insight, and Tracy Letts for making her feel like her own family is pretty normal. And of course, much love to her partner in crime, Greg, her amazing Alison, and her not-nearly-as-dysfunctional parents for always offering their ceaseless support.
Cara Marshall ("Ivy")
Cara is excited to be back on the Funky stage in the role of Ivy Weston. Her most recent roles include Joy (step-sister) in Sunrise Player's Production of CINDERELLA and Mary in A WONDERFUL LIFE. She also directs the musical theater program at CSCA and teaches at Academy of Children's Theater. Cara is thrilled to be choreographing for Funky's first musical, SPAMALOT, this summer.
Brandi Lowe ("Karen")
Brandi Blackwood Lowe is thrilled to be returning to the stage after years of being behind the scenes. Brandi is a local artist and has been spending her theater time costuming, designing sets and scenic painting for a children's musical theater program. She has loved working on AUGUST: OSAGE COUNTY and is looking forward to more performances here at Funky Little Theater.
Ashley Crockett ("Mattie Fae")
John Longo ("Charlie")
John is thrilled to find himself on stage again after a long absence, especially in such a good play with such a fine cast and crew. Thanks, Funky! A few favorite roles from back in the day: Matt Friedman, TALLEY’S FOLLY (Colorado College Summer Theater); Theo Van Gogh, STRANGER ON THE EARTH (Theatre Row Theatre, New York); Chaplain, THE LADY’S NOT FOR BURNING (Theatre 603, New York). John teaches English at the Colorado Springs School.
Nicholas Remy ("Bill")
Nick returns for his 4th production with Funky, and his premier as a Company Member! His previous shows with us include THE BOYS NEXT DOOR, IT’S A WONDERFUL LIFE, and RUMORS. In his first dramatic role, he's excited to introduce the audience to the "dark side of the Midwestern American family", and is thankful beyond words for the continued encouragement of his family and friends.
Dalianti Moncada ("Johnna")
This is Dali's first show with Funky and second show over all since playing a part in TIGERS BE STILL at Springs Ensemble Theatre. The best part of AUGUST: OSAGE COUNTY for her-"Working with such an incredibly talented cast has been amazing. Every person in this show does a great job in their rolls and I'm thankful to be a part of this powerful show!"
Gray Click ("Deon")
Gray is originally from the Myrtle Beach, SC area and has played roles in two original plays by Philip J. Fox, EVENTIDE and MOONFLOWER. He also played an Alabama doctor in Funky’s RECKLESS. He is a singer/songwriter and his song “Things Turn Black” was featured at the end of the “Mississippi” episode of Anthony Bourdain: Parts Unknown. You can check his music out at Facebook.com/thegrayclick
Elisabeth Sells ("Jean")
Elisabeth is a 17 (almost 18) year old highschool senior (almost graduate), and is super excited to be a part of her first Funky Little Theater production! Elisabeth loved August: Osage County, or the character Jean more specifically, so much that the hour and a half drive from Denver felt like a measly 45 minutes. She hopes you have as much fun watching it as she had working on it.
Margaret Brophy ("Jean U/S")
Margaret Brophy is excited to be performing in her first Funky show. She has been in other local plays and musicals through the Pikes Peak Opera League, Thomas MacLaren School, and Sunrise Players, most recently playing the title role in their production of CINDERELLA. In her free time, Margaret enjoys singing Americana and Folk music, hiking, and discussing the beauty of animated movies.
Greg Lanning ("Steve")
Greg is very pleased to be a part of this show and cast. This being his first, of hopefully many, “Funky” shows. He has been a part of the local theater scene since, gasp, 1994. He has been privileged to work with most every company in town (some may even still be in existence!). He would like to thank Chris for giving him the chance to play a part he would never have imagined agreeing to accept. Mostly, Greg is thrilled to be able to share the stage with his wife of over twenty years, once again. Hugs and kisses to his four gorgeous daughters.
Chris Medina ("Little Charles")
