About 24 Minutes by David Dudley

What do you say to someone who’s dying? How do you comfort that person on the other end of the telephone? What if that person may be your daughter, whom you haven’t spoken to since you learned of her sexual orientation? What if you don’t get a second chance? An unnamed 911 Operator wrestles with these questions while trying to comfort Maricella, a mortally wounded young woman trapped inside the Pulse nightclub on the morning of June 12th, 2016. Though the call lasts for 24 minutes, the Operator is forced to confront her own mistakes in life, to wrestle with the differences that separate us all. But first, she must answer the next call.

SUPPORT THE ELITE THEATRE COMPANY

As much as we value our season subscribers and individual ticket holders, it is no secret that ticket sales in arts account for only a portion of annual revenue. The support that really makes it all happen comes from donations above and beyond, from people like you.

Please consider a tax-deductible donation to the Elite Theatre Company, and make a commitment to quality arts programming in our community. You may call our office at 805-483-5118 or email [email protected], or visit our donate page to receive more information about our donor and sponsorship programs.
