The Music Man Cast

Harold Hill (Scott Colin)
Scott currently serves as the Artistic Director for the Little Theatre of Wilkes-Barre. He has been seen on stages across NEPA, most notably as Hamlet in Hamlet (LTWB) [NEPTA – Best Lead Actor] and Lord Farquaad in Shrek (Theatrical Gems) [NEPTA – Best Supporting Actor]. More locally, he has been seen as Mr. Wormwood in Matilda and Good ol’ Reliable Jake in Evil Dead (DMPW). Scott is currently employed at Misericordia University, and is also a proud veteran of the United States Navy. He would like to give a shout-out to his awesome son, Colin, and his magnificent fiancée, Jessica Bickel whom he will be marrying on November 13th.
Marian Paroo (Jessica Schafer)
Like her character, Jessica is a real-life music teacher at West Hazleton Elementary/Middle School. She is excited to be revisiting the role of Marian, after playing it for her first time at Zion Opera Workshop. Jessica was seen most recently as Honey in PTPA’s “Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf”. Some of her favorite past roles include: Laurey Williams (Oklahoma!), Sarah Brown (Guys and Dolls), Nellie Forbush (South Pacific), Jo March (Little Women), Morticia Addams (The Addams Family), Reno Sweeney (Anything Goes), Bella Manningham (Gaslight), and Nora Morton (Brighton Beach Memoirs)
Mrs. Paroo (Allison Leonard)
After 18 years, Allison is thrilled to return to the stage and perform alongside her daughter Taryn! Allison grew up performing and studied voice, piano and dance. She attended the Hartt School of Music at the University of Hartford and is a graduate of both Susquehanna University (B.A.) and Misericordia University (M.S.) She is a proud military and law enforcement wife and is especially dedicated to our troops. She and her husband John celebrated 20 years of marriage this past May and she is mother to Liam (17) and Taryn (12). She is a compulsive volunteer and likes to say she specializes in “unpaid work”. In her non-volunteer time, she is a Contingency Planner and Communications Consultant for EM Solutions Inc. and a Travel Agent specializing in Disney destinations. She's thrilled to have given "Iowa a Try!"

Cody is in 8th grade at Drums. This is his 8th play. Cody recently played Zeke in High School Musical and Maui in Moana. Along with his love of theatre Cody enjoys throwing the Shot Put, Javelin and Discus for Hazleton Area. Cody hopes you enjoy the show!!

Jude is a tenth grade student at HAHS Arts and Humanities. He was last seen as Troy Bolton in high School Musical, Prince Eric in the Little Mermaid Jr and is has been an active theater performer since he can walk. He is a member of the HAHS Marching Cougars as a percussionist and loves to create web pages and original music. He dances with Drama in Motion and is excited to be in this show with some of his closest friends.
Amaryllis (Taryn Leonard)
Taryn Leonard is 12 years old and is a 7th grade student at the Commonwealth Charter Cyber Academy. Most recently, she appeared in DM Performance Works productions of Little Mermaid (Sebastian) and High School Musical. She has also performed in DM Performance Works mainstage production of Matilda as Lavender. Additional performances include Frozen, Jr., Aladdin, Jr., Young Simba in The Lion King, Jr., Alice in Wonderland, Jr. and Peter Pan, Jr. She studies dance at Drama In Motion under the direction of Joelle Witner, Cali Solarek and Phyllis Columbo. Additionally, Taryn is a member of the Freeland YMCA swim team and the Hazleton Area Youth Lacrosse League and has competed in several triathlons. Break a leg everyone!
Eulalie Mackecknie Shinn (Tina Becker)
Tina was last seen on the DMPW stage as Mrs. Tottendale in Drowsy Chaperone. Some of her favorite roles have been Ms. Hannigan in Annie , Mrs. Meers in Thoroughly Modern Millie, the Beggar Woman in Sweeney Todd and Carmen Berstein in Curtains. When not on stage, she is a payroll administrator for the Faulkner group of car dealerships. The Music Man was one of the first musicals that captured her heart and developed her love of theater. It is truly an honor to finally knock this one off the bucket list.
Zaneeta Shinn (Cassie Zeleznock)
Cassie is 17 years old and will be a senior honor student at HAHS Arts and Humanities Academy, where she is a member of the Cougar Players and Chorus. She studies voice, and all forms of dance under the direction of Joelle Witner and Phyllis Columbo at Drama in Motion. Cassie has been doing theatre for over 6 years and has performed in over 20 productions. She was last seen in PWFT’s main stage production of Fiddler on the Roof in June. Her favorite role was Rafiki in The Lion King, Jr. at PWFT. Some of her other favorite roles were in Les Miserables, Alice in Wonderland, Jr, Hunchback of Notre Dame, and Mary Poppins. Cassie would like to say "Break A Leg" to the entire cast and crew! She would also like to thank Joelle and her team for always supporting her and pushing her to be her very best!!
Gracie Shinn (Jocelyn Lukashunas)
Jocelyn is 13 year old 8th grader at the castle in Hazleton. She has done many plays from the lion King to most recently highschool musical Jocelyn is a varsity hockey goaltender did junior varsity assistant coach, a gymnast and does pointe ballet with drama in motion where she has taken classes for the last 7 years

Cali Solarek is an Early Childhood Education major at Bloomsburg University. She has participating in theater and dance since the age of 2 through the direction of Joelle Witner and Phyllis Columbo. Cali teaches dance at Drama in Motion Studio of Performing Arts where she was lucky enough to be trained in the art herself. Her most recent roles were Sophie (Mamma Mia) and Miss Honey (Matilda). Cali is very excited to be back on stage and hopes you all enjoy the show!

While normally helping in the tech booth or backstage, Aryn is enjoying her on-stage debut as Mrs Squires A native of Maryland, Aryn joined the the theater after relocating to PA in 2020. She has been a driving force in keeping the theater open during the pandemic. Her connections have brought many well-known stars to give theater shout outs on social media. While in high school, Aryn competed with her Women’s Ensemble Choir and helped her drama club with auditions and casting. Aryn is the mother of two girls, Brooke and Baylee, and wishes the cast to break legs!
Maud Dunlop (Cathy Lombardo)
Cathy Lombardo has been in a few plays under the direction of Joelle Winter and Phyllis Columbo including "Grease", "A Christmas Carol", "South Pacific" and "My Fair Lady". Where she has made memories to last a lifetime. After taking a hiatus from the stage she has enjoyed watching her niece and nephew lend their acting talents to the DMPW stage. She would like to send a HUGE thank you to Joelle and Phyllis for letting her have this opportunity to perform again and would like to dedicate this to her father Eugene who she knows is watching from above.
