Kyle King (Board Member Nominee)
Kyle is a candidate for election for a second term having been elected in January to fulfill the last year of an unexpired term (Nate Downs). Kyle is a small business lender with Illinois Business Financial Services. His involvement with CST began at an early age with the backstage crew of a summer CST production and eventually with many on-stage performances over the past 8 years. He has served on the Finance Committee for more that 3 years. He has been involved in the Central Illinois theatre scene for over 25 years as backstage crew, onstage performer, stage manager, director, set construction, as well as sound and lighting designer and operator. His main goal as a Board Member is to help organize and maintain an annual budget while also planning for the theatre’s future success. He believes his long history in the theatre community combined with hi experience in financial success can help keep Corn Stock Theater the premier theatrical experience for all artist in the Central Illino
Peggy Breaux Hupp (Board Member Nominee)
Peggy is a candidate for a first three-year term. Peggy is employed by Humana Insurance as a Customer Service Representative. She has been involved with Corn Stock for 52 years!! She has directed for over 20 years at Richwoods High School, Community Children’s Theatre, Corn Stock, and Peoria Players. She has been choreographing for over 45 years. In addition, she has worked with props, costumes, sound, and lighting and designed and built sets. She currently serves on the Illinois Theatre Association Board and believes she has contacts and resources to assist the theatre. She grew up at Corn Stock and loves this theatre. She would love to be a part of the Board to help make the theatre experience better for our patrons, help with fundraising, and working on policies to make Director’s experiences better. In addition, she would like to help Children’s Community Theatre become more visible in Illinois.
Valerie Kelley (Board Member Nominee)
Valerie is a candidate for a first three-year term. She is employed by PCCEO, Inc. as a payroll clerk. She has been involved with Corn Stock for 4 years. She has performed in a number of shows, and volunteered to usher, handle ramps, and concessions. She says her life has been made better by becoming a member of the Corn Stock family and she couldn’t ask for a better organization to be a part of. She believes that our biggest challenge will be how to deal with and overcome the crisis that COVID has created in the theatre community. She would like to help as best she can by shaping the future of Corn Stock whether it be through fundraising, advertising, or show selection. She is honored to be asked to share her talents with Corn Stock as a member of our Board.
Sarah Beth Leasor (Board Member Nominee)
Sarah is a candidate for a first three-year term. Sarah is employed by Dr. William Cusack as a Dental Hygienist/Office Manager. She has been involved with Corn Stock for 13 years as an actor, dancer, production secretary, box office volunteer, member of a set crew, ramps, usher, host, and a member of the Corn Stock for Kids Committee. She believes that the biggest challenge facing Corn Stock today is increasing season ticket sales and volunteer membership and getting more children involved in CST programs and shows. She believes that her involvement in multiple aspects of the theatre provides her with insights to assist the Board in making decisions for the betterment of Corn Stock and its patrons and volunteers.
