Katie Asbury (Peach Crayon, Brown Crayon)
Katie Asbury, freshman, is playing Peach Crayon and Brown Crayon. She is also in charge of Tickets and Accounting. Katie has been involved in many plays for years. Starting in 2012 and 2013, when she performed in Alice and Wonderland and Beauty and the Beast. More recently, Katie has been in 10 Ways to Survive the Zombie Apocalypse (2019), Good Cop Bad Cop (2020), and Karen: The Origin Story (2020). She is also a brown belt in Taekwondo, and is a part of the Speech team.
Nathaniel Carpentier (Narrator)
Nathaniel Carpentier, sophomore, is playing the Narrator. He previously performed in Your Brain on Social Media and in Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. Nathaniel, also, enjoys being a part of CHS’s Marching Band. He would like to thank his parents and friends for supporting his interests and helping him get to where he is at in life.
Kyle Casey (Tan Crayon, Sock)
Kyle Casey, junior, is playing Tan Crayon and Sock. This is Kyle’s first performance on stage. He also does news broadcasts and DJ’s on CHS’s radio station, WDSO, as well as being a member of Radio Club, German Club, and Boy Scouts. Kyle is a teacher’s assistant for children’s programs and is also very talented in playing the piano and guitar. Kyle would like to honor his Nana, by giving her a special thank you for being a big inspiration in his life.
Julia Dietrich (Black Crayon, Blue Crayon)
Julia Dietrich, freshman, is playing Black Crayon and Blue Crayon. Julia’s previous stage experience was in CHS’s Fall Student Series, in which she played Lillian Davis, the Worried One, and Aymeigh. Julia also spends her time in the Speech and Debate team, Concert Choir, German Club, and SEGO Club.
Andrew Engel (White, Maroon, & Glow-in-the-Dark Crayon)
Andrew Engel, senior, is playing White Crayon, Maroon Crayon, and Glow-in-the-Dark Crayon. Andrew’s previous times on the stage were as a soldier and Cinderella’s father in Cinderella, the Mad Hatter in Alice in Wonderland, and Grandpa Joe in Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. He is also his Section Leader in Trojan Guard Marching Band. Andrew is a leader in Club Earth, the President of Key Club, the Vice President of Young Democrats, a tutor for Tutoring Tuesdays, and is in Pit Orchestra, and Symphonic Orchestra. In previous years, Andrew has been in Pep Band, Academic Superbowl, German Club, the Backup Band for Show Choir, Science Olympiad, Jazz Band, and CHS Coffeehouse. Andrew would like to thank all of the people in theatre for making this year great.
Maxwell Good (Beige & Turquoise Crayon)
Maxwell Good, freshman, is playing Beige Crayon and Turquoise Crayon. Maxwell has previously performed in CMS’s drama club plays in both 7th and 8th grade. He is also in CHS’s Show Choir and in CHS’s Speech and Debate team. Maxwell would like to give a special thanks to Ms. Graupner and Ms. Gorski for inspiring his love of singing and acting.
Ava Johnson (Stage Crew)
Ava Johnson, freshman, is helping backstage. Ava has had 8 years of previous stage experience. Since she had spent those years as an actress, she wanted to get some backstage experience too. Her year started off rough, but she hopes that the rest of her high school experience will be better. Ava is also involved in CHS’s Symphonic Band and plays the French horn. Ava has started studying French and hopes to become as fluent as possible. Special thanks to her previous director, who believed and supported her even when she did not believe in herself.
Olivia Kumar (Makeup Artist)
Olivia Kumar, freshman, is the Makeup Artist for the show. Olivia’s previous involvement in theatre was her role in Good Cop, Bad Cop. She would like to give a special thanks to her mom for getting her into the theatre. Olivia would also like to thank her friends for their endless support.
Elia Livovich (Production Manager)
Elia Livovich, senior, is the production manager for The Day the Crayons Quit and Came Home. She has been involved in CHS’s theatre productions all 4 years of high school, usually as Stage Manager and occasionally, actor or student director. Elia is in the IB program, and is also part of the Speech and Debate team. Elia would like to give a special thanks to her family for putting up with her schedule, and a thank you to everyone she has ever worked with in the theatre. She hopes to continue a career of Stage Management in theater, and extends a huge thank you to all who have inspired and encouraged her in theater - from directors to crew and castmates.
Emily Loney (Red, Gray, & Gold Crayon)
Emily Loney, senior, is playing Red Crayon, Gold Crayon, and Gray Crayon. Emily's previous stage experience includes Little Shop of Horrors, Cinderella, The Somewhat True Tale of Robin Hood, The Sound of Music, Alice and Wonderland, Done to Death, and Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. She is also in Advanced Orchestra and National Honor Society, and wishes to give special thanks to her best mates and family.
Abigail McCarthy (Purple & Big Chunky Toddler Crayon)
Abigail McCarthy, sophomore, is playing Purple Crayon and Big Chunky Toddler Crayon. She is also the show’s Prop Manager. Abigail’s previous stage experience includes being Augustus Gloop in Charlie and the Chocolate Factory and Jack Perry in Not To Get All Political But.... Abigail was also the Head of Properties in the Fall Student Series. She enjoys spending her time with friends, playing DND, knitting, and reading. Abigail is in both Trojan Guard Marching Band and in Wind Ensemble. She would like to give a special thanks to her parents, Chris and Dan, for having a supportive home full of love and acceptance.
Emerson McCready (Orange Crayon)
Emerson McCready, sophomore, is playing Orange Crayon. She is also the costume manager for this production. In the past, she has done set building for Chicago and Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. She also does photography, baking, and drawing in her spare time. Emerson would also like to thank her parents for putting up with her.
Gannon Michna (Esteban the Magnificent)
Gannon Michan, sophomore, is playing Pea Green Crayon (Esteban). Gannon’s prior stage experience includes Prince Charming in Sleeping Beauty, a Flying Monkey in Wizard of Oz, the Grinch in Seussical the Musical, Scar in The Lion King, Lumiere in Beauty and the Beast, and Flicle in A Christmas Story at Discovery and the Memorial Opera House. At CHS, Gannon was Charlie Bucket in Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. He also enjoys playing DND, building his computer, reading, hanging out with friends, and eating butter. Gannon would like to give a special thanks to all of his friends and family for encouraging him to rejoin theatre.
Miranda Miller (Neon Red Crayon)
Miranda Miller, junior, is playing Neon Red Crayon. This is Miranda’s first time performing on stage. She is on the Speech and Debate team, part of the golf team, and enjoys hanging out with her friends. Miranda would like to give a special thanks to her Mom, Dad, and Sami for supporting her. She would also like to give a special thanks to the whole cast for making this performance memorable.
Ella Scott (Green & Pink Crayon)
Ella Scott, freshman, is playing Pink Crayon and Green Crayon, and is also a part of the Publicity team. Ella started doing theatre at the young age of 7, and has been in many plays since then. More recently, though, Ella was a part of the CHS’s Fall Student Series. Ella is also a dancer and practices 9.5 hours a week. She enjoys playing the cello in CHS’s Intermediate Orchestra and learning French. Ella would like to give a special thanks to her friends and family, who support her through everything she does.
Olivia Vogel (Yellow Crayon)
Olivia Vogel, sophomore, is playing Yellow Crayon and is this year’s Cast Morale Leader. Previously, Olivia acted as Mrs. Gloop in Charlie and the Chocolate Factory and as Professor Jackenshnider in CHS’s Fall Student Series. She loves trying new things and pushing herself outside of her comfort zone. She started playing the Alto Saxophone in band her freshman year, and joined Show Choir as a sophomore. Olivia also loves to draw and paint in her free time. She would like to send a special thanks to everyone involved in the show, but especially to the backstage crew and the other unseen heroes who hold theatre together.
Brayden Wellensiek (Stage Crew)
Brayden Wellensiek, freshman, is a part of the show’s backstage crew. Brayden has previously worked on Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. Brayden not only participates in backstage theater, but he is also in the CHS Anime Club.
