Big Fish: Small Cast Edition Cast

Christopher Blackshire (Edward Bloom)
has been in several musicals and plays. You may have seen him in Frozen Jr. (Bishop), Into The Woods Jr. (Rapunzel's Prince), Little Shop of Horrors (Seymour Krelborn) and Lucky Stiff (Harry Witherspoon). This is his final show and his third lead role at Cherokee. He is currently a Senior at Cherokee High School and a Tenor 1 in the Concert Choir. He dedicates this role to the love of his life and the person who keeps him going when things are hard, Ella McLain!
Clay Houck (Will Bloom)
loves anything music related. He has participated in numerous musically involved activities, such as previous plays, marching and concert band, and the Cherokee high school choir. He would like to send a special thank you to his family for always being there for him and supporting him, and his friends for encouraging him to pursue dreams. He has been blessed with wonderful opportunities in life, and would like to especially show gratitude towards his teachers and directors for pushing him to do his best in any activities he participates in. Gideon Richards (Young Will Bloom)
is a homeschooled 5th grade student thru Abeka Academy. He loves singing, dancing, and playing online games with his friends. His previous roles include SMS shows: Spongebob the Musical (Electric Skate 3), The Little Mermaid JR. (Flotsam), Finding Nemo JR (Nemo), and the RCS show Moana JR (Maui). This season, in addition to Big Fish, he is also working on Beauty and the Beast JR (Lumiere) with SMS.
Sarah Bellamy (Sandra Bloom)
is excited to be performing as a lead character in her final musical at CHS. You may recognize her from multiple programs at MES and RMS, plays/events at The Bridge Church, The 2022 Broadway Revue at CHS, and other CHS shows: Little Shop of Horrors (Ronnette), Lucky Stiff (Rita), and the Shop ‘til You Drop… Dead! dinner show at Hale Springs Inn! Although theatre is Sarah’s favorite form of entertainment, she also participates in CHS Choir, directed by Erika Woods, and Cherokee High School Color Guard, directed by Brandon & Ashley Linkous and Jaimee Arnold. She plans to continue performing in college. Special thanks go to her music directors over the past four years for encouraging her to continue displaying her talents in different areas of life. Sarah would also like to thank her Mom for inspiring her to be the performer she is today and being her biggest supporter from the day she was born. This performance is dedicated to everyone who has ever encouraged her love for music and the light it brings to her life. 
Rebekah Miller (The Witch)
has loved to sing for as long as she can remember. She first took to the stage in her elementary school’s Christmas musical. She joined her church choir at 13, and has continued singing with Cherokee’s choir. At 15 she participated in a studio recording. Rebekah has always dreamed of becoming a singer/songwriter and loves to share her voice with others. She would like to thank Mrs. Woods for providing her with the opportunity of this great role. She would also like to thank her mother for being so dedicated to her singing journey and helping her reach her goals.
Benjamin Goddard (Karl the Giant)
holds a great appreciation and interest in all things correlating with theater, acting, writing, orchestra, and choir. With his first appearance into the performance arts being the role of Tommy Gilmore in the play Shop ‘Till You Drop- DEAD!, Ben is ecstatic to continue his acting journey with this upcoming musical. He would like to attribute his current and future successes in this field to both his stunningly supportive cast mates and diligent director, Erika Woods. To add one last bit, he wouldn’t be able to be a part of this musical without the efforts put forward by his amazing mother and father, Lora and Tim Goddard.
Nathaniel Arnold  (Amos Calloway)
is embarking on the performance of his second CHS Show. You may recognize him as the dead guy from last year’s musical, Lucky Stiff. Uncle Tony! is 17 years old and he plays trumpet in the CHS band. He really enjoys playing and being involved with the school's Fine Arts Program. This program means so much to him. He loves making connections with his friends and making connections with the music. He hopes you love this musical as much as he does!
Miley Harrell (Jenny Hill, Ensemble)
has found herself falling more and more in love with the stage and singing. In the past year she has participated in multiple productions; such as last year’s spring musical Lucky Stiff as Annabel Glick and Shop ‘til You Drop- DEAD! a murder mystery dinner/play, and various choral concerts. In her free time, she works hard on a competition cheerleading team and loves to read as much as she can. She also loves spending time with her family and friends. She wants to thank Erika Woods for always believing in her and pushing her to be the best musician she can be. "God put that dream in your heart for a reason!"
Aubrey Fleenor (Ensemble )
is thrilled to be featured in her third musical as a Junior. Previous credits include Little Shop of Horrors and Lucky Stiff. She is involved in many extracurricular activities outside of theater including the school cheer team, Concert Choir, and Heritage Lites volunteer program. Outside of her extracurricular school activities, she loves outdoor activities, spending time with her friends and family (especially time at the lake). She would like to thank her Mom (Tammy), Dad (Glenn), Nana Cathy, and many others for believing in her, and helping her succeed in all her endeavors. She would also like to thank all her fellow actors, peers, and especially her director, Erika Woods. This performance is dedicated to her Mom, Dad, Nana Cathy, and many other family members.
Jesse Bellamy (Zacky Price)
is a freshman here at CHS and starting performing in last year's musical Lucky Stiff and going in all of the rest. In his free time, he plays percussion in the CHS band. He also likes playing video games, singing in the choir, and a lot of other stuff. He wants to dedicate this performance to his family and to his biggest role model Chris Blackshire.
Delia Cobb (Don Price)
lives a life of charm and unbelievable swag, Delia’s main goal in life is to entertain and wow the people she meets and to bring joy in every interaction she has. This would be Delia’s first acting experience, and she is very pleased with how the people in theater have accepted her. Since it’s her senior year, Delia is proud and hyped to be surrounded by her friends as she and many talented actors perform this show.
Foze Alabbad (Dr. Bennett, Ensemble)
is a 16-year-old exchange student from Saudi Arabia making her first-ever musical debut. Foze discovered Cherokee's Fine Arts & Theatre program through Mrs. Woods' dance class, and has been in love ever since. She then joined the CHS Concert Choir and the musical cast. Rehearsing for Big Fish has brought so much joy into her life, and without Mrs. Woods, her dream of performing onstage wouldn't have come true. Foze dedicates her performance to her family back home, her American family; Nancy Waite-O'brien and Valerie Wendel, Mrs. Woods, and most importantly, herself!
Tanner Birge (Ensemble)
is known for his sharp wit and sarcastic sense of humor. Beneath the sarcasm, Tanner is a kind and helpful individual who truly shines when you get to know him. His journey has taken him to many places, including Germany, where his passion for acting and singing was ignited. Outside of the spotlight, Tanner enjoys playing video games and crocheting. His greatest love, however, is his family—Roger and Sherri Birge—whose unwavering support for his dreams of performing means the world to him. He is also deeply grateful to his director, Erika Woods, for the opportunity to be part of both the musical and concert choir.
Jordyn Manis (Ensemble)
is a freshman who has a dream to join the military and to become a Forensic Pathologist. She has been fascinated with musicals since 2021 after watching Hamilton when schools were closed due to Covid-19. This is her musical debut, and she is very excited to perform with the friends she's made. Special thanks to her mom, Jamie, and granny, Naomi, for taking her to and from rehearsals and workdays along with bringing her food and/or clothes before rehearsals started.
Lilianna Brennan (Ensemble)
has participated in many other shows, such as Lion King Jr., SpongeBob The Musical Jr., and Seussical Jr. Despite her experience, she was not prepared for how much Big Fish would ignite her love for Theatre in a brand new way. She can’t show enough appreciation for the supportive and amazing community that is the Musical Cast, Concert Choir, and Band at Cherokee. She knows that if her grandmother were still here, she'd continue to support and love her like she has through everything and every phase of life. She's just as grateful to have her mom, dad, and aunt for supporting her. Although you can't see them, Lily believes the spotlight should be shone on the Stage Managers, Kara Smith and Maggie Wolfe, and of course, the Amazing Director, Erika Woods. Lily hopes the audience enjoys watching Big Fish as much as she has enjoyed being part of it!!
Arayah Altman (Mermaid, Ensemble)
is excited to make her musical debut in Big Fish! She has a passion for singing outside of theater. She also loves staying active by running track and cross country. She is so grateful for this opportunity and would like to thank her amazing, loving, and supportive family, boyfriend, and the cast and crew for their support.
Emily Anderson (Ensemble)
is 16 years old, a sophomore, and this is her musical debut. She is very excited! She loves being onstage and used to be a competitive cheerleader. She cannot wait to perform and share with the audiences all the hard work, time, blood, sweat, and tears she and her cast-and-crew-mates have put into making this show a good one. Enjoy the show!
Nyema Leeper (Ensemble )
has been dancing since she was 2 and onstage competitively dancing since she was 8 years old. Her dance team has taken 1st place at all levels- regional, state, and national. She is 17 years old and loves to teach dance. She loves music, singing, and all artistic freedom of expression. Beyond dancing, she enjoys being outdoors, riding horses, and spending time with her nephews.
Grace Gordon (Josephine Bloom)
has had a love for performing since she was very young. At 9, she signed with a local modeling agency before moving on to a larger acting company. In high school, she began acting in musicals. You may recognize her from Little Shop of Horrors (Ensemble) and Lucky Stiff (Solicitor/Nun). Grace is very excited to have her first lead role in this year’s performance. When not performing, Grace spends her time working as a caregiver for people with disabilities. She is attending Lincoln Memorial University in the fall to pursue her dream of becoming a special education teacher. She wants to thank Mrs. Woods for making it possible for her to perform for 3 years. She would also like to dedicate this performance to her grandmother, Aleita Gladson, who she knows would have loved this show and her dog Harry who recently passed away.  “She knows she lived through it to get to this moment”- Phoebe Bridgers. 
Blake Fobber (Ensemble )
is a member of the RMS Choir and is making his first musical debut. He plays the tenor saxophone for the RMS Warrior band. He is a big fan of basketball, football, and aspires to be a musician one day.
Gracie Crutchfield  (Ensemble )
is a part of the RMS Warrior Choir. She is excited to be making her high school theatre debut in the 8th grade! While living in Illinois, she was in choir for two years. Since moving to Tennessee, she enjoys writing, reading, and hanging out with her friends. She is very excited to be in this musical, and hopes to be a part of it next year as well. She will see you all at the show!
Jurnee Dyer (Ensemble)
is a member of the RMS choir founded by Caleb Guerard (Mr. G) and Mrs. Woods. This is her second musical through Cherokee High School, the first being Lucky Stiff. Jurnee is a dancer at the Morristown School of Dance Arts. She has been a dancer for 9 years, and recently landed a lead role in last year’s The Nutcracker Ballet. When she has free time, she loves to sing, make art, and help CHS’ theatre department with musicals. She hopes that you all enjoy the show!
Jayden Fobber (Ensemble)
is a part of the RMS Warrior Choir and plays the trumpet in the RMS Warrior Band. She and her other choir members have been featured in the Cherokee High School Choir concerts. She loves to draw and appreciates all art. She loves anything involving music and is excited to make her CHS musical debut!
Atleigh Davis  (Ensemble )
goes to RMS and is part of Mrs Woods’ choir program there. She has been in two recent Cherokee High School choir concerts and was even rewarded a solo. She loves to cook and draw. She is very crafty. She loves her pet hedgehog and her pet leopard gecko. She is super excited to make her musical debut.
Rylee Chataginer (Ensemble )
is a member of the RMS Warrior Choir as an alto as well as the RMS Warrior band, playing clarinet. This is her first musical and her first year in the choir. She loves to study, and she aspires to be a doctor in the future. Rylee would like to thank her parents for pushing her to go to the choir when she forgets or when she doesn't feel like going. She would like to thank her parents for always being there for her. She adds, “I love you guys!" She would also like to thank her friend, Sophie Maxey, for introducing her to choir and Mrs. Woods. Without Sophie, this would have not been possible.
Rylan Cooper (Will's Son)
is currently a 5th grader at Rogersville City School. His production experience includes Moana JR., and he is currently working on Into the Woods, JR. with the RCS musical theatre team. He enjoys playing basketball, baseball, and football. He also loves riding dirt bikes and anything that involves the outdoors. He’s a big brother to two little sisters with whom he enjoys playing and spending time. He loves his church, Hope Community Church and their summer camps. He hopes you enjoy the show!
