International Recording Artist Sourmash is an award-winning act. hailing from Pennsylvania. Comprised of accomplished musicians that were initially assembled to pay tribute to the guitar-driven songs of southern rock; the band has evolved into a true, original rock and roll act. Sourmash is a very popular act in the northeastern US with a continually growing fan base. Comprised of avid motorcyclists that ride to many of their shows; Sourmash is a favorite for festivals and regional motorcycle rallies and is touted as The Baddest Biker Band on the Planet. Formed in 2010, the band has been a consistent headliner for motorcycle rallies, festivals, and clubs. In addition, Sourmash has performed as support for national acts such as Great White, Saliva, Moonshine Bandits, Blackberry Smoke and David Allan Coe. National act, Luke Combs opened for Sourmash in December 2016. On the heels of First Shot (the debut CD of Sourmash) in April 2015; the single, You Are Everything was featured in the film, A Fancy Piece of Homicide. The single, Flesh and Bone followed suit by being featured on the CBS TV show, Scorpion in April 2017. Both have received airplay on SiriusXM Radio. First Shot is available for sale on Amazon, iTunes, CD Baby, and Goggle Play as well as the Sourmash website. CD sales of First Shot have reached respectable levels, both nationally and internationally. Songs from Sourmash are available nationally in 99% of jukeboxes across the country (AMI and Touch Tunes). In 2020, Sourmash began releasing a series of singles in digital-only format. These songs (Wild Willie (2020), Country Girl (2021), Good Moanin Beautiful (2022) and Forever In Your Eyes (2022)) have been very successful - reaching diverse audiences from across the globe. The single Wild Willie alone has achieved over 100,000 streams. Sourmash has been recognized both regionally and nationally for music and musicianship throughout its existence. Most recently, Sourmash won 2021 Group Entertainer of the Year at the Josie Music Awards – the world’s largest awards organization for independent artists. Sourmash received a total of six nominations for the Josie Music Awards in 2021. Nominations were in the categories of Entertainer of the Year; Rock Group of the Year; Song of the Year (for Wild Willie); Vocalist of the Year (Tim Henry); and two nominations for Musician of the Year (for Henry and Nick Farine). Nominated in multiple categories in multiple years for Pittsburgh Music Awards; Sourmash brought home the Best Rock Band and Song of the Year Award. Additionally, Tim Henry won Best Vocalist twice and Best Guitarist, while Dave Stanoszek was voted Best Bassist. Other awards of note include: The Pittsburgh City Paper’s Face The Music voted Sourmash as the People’s Choice Winner of 2017; Touch Tunes Jukebox listed Sourmash as a Breakout Band in 2015; and in 2012, Sourmash was recognized by Clayton USA by naming the act as their Pick of the Week. The powerful Sourmash performances showcase the band's depth as performers and in musical ability. From the time the entire band rides their motorcycles to the stage, the swagger and talent are apparent. Tim Henry is a monster on stage. His vocals are powerful, gritty and yet smooth when needed. Tim commands the stage with a strong, comfortable energy and a charisma that is both captivating and inviting to the audience. Matt Knapp and Dave Stanoszek make up the thunderous rhythm section of the band. They are cool, calm and controlled on stage. Nick Farine and Tim Henry are players' players on guitar. They are masters of their craft and consistently deliver dazzling dual-guitar licks at every performance. The highlight of the show however, is the participation of the crowd. Whether the audience is dancing, singing along or shouting "Hell Yeah!" - it is that energy that keeps Sourmash alive.
