I Ought To Be In Pictures Cast

Libby (Katya Dachik)
Katya Dachik is proud to debut with the Black Swamp Players in I Ought To Be In Pictures this summer. Katya received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from BGSU in 2017. She has performed since age twelve in theatrical and film productions in Northwest Ohio. A few of her recent roles include Penelope in The Penelopiad (BGSU Department of Theatre and Film), Dolores Breckenridge in It Came From Mars (Toledo Repertoire Theatre), a principal role in the industrial film ALICE (WBGU), as well as multiple roles in local short films, commercials, and music videos. Katya is delighted to be back on stage after a hiatus due to the pandemic. Currently she is pursuing her acting and artistic endeavors, including drafting a graphic novel and teaching herself guitar.
Steffy (Tiffany Scarola)
Tiffany Scarola is currently an Assistant Teaching Professor in the English department at Bowling Green State University where she teaches courses in the First-Year Writing Sequence as well as Science and Technical Writing. This is her second performance with BSP. Her debut with the Black Swamp Players was this past May in Talking With where she played “Lila/Lamps.” Prior to her debut with the Black Swamp Players the last performance she had was in her 8th grade production of The Mystery Liner. Tiffany loves to write and is currently working on a play and a novel. In addition to teaching and writing, Tiffany loves to cook and frequently posts pictures of her creations in Instagram.
Herb (Heath A. Diehl)
Heath is thrilled to be returning to the BSP stage as Herb Tucker (a role he has wanted to play since the ripe age of 9 when he first saw the film adaptation). Heath has previously appeared on the BSP stage as Mr. Boddy in Clue: The Musical and as Edward Baxter in Psych, and he recently was a member of the ensemble cast for Owens Community College's production of The Laramie Project: Ten Years Later. Heath also is very active as a director, having recently served in that role for BSP’s production of Talking With and TBD Productions’ The Guys. Other directorial credits include The Odd Couple (Female Version) (BSP), The Drowsy Chaperone (BSP), A Mouth to Feed (Toledo Rep), and Gidion's Knot (TBD Productions). Heath is slated to direct August: Osage County for BSP in February. When Heath is not treading the boards, he serves as Board President for both Black Swamp Players and Wood County Humane Society. He also is Teaching Professor in the Honors College and the Department of English at BGSU. In his spare time, he loves spending time with his husband Gary and their six rescue kitties, doing jigsaw puzzles, painting by numbers, and watching international crime dramas.
