Playwright and Director
Geoff Callaway
Geoff is a founding member of Bankside Repertory Theatre. He has directed productions in Chicago, Los Angeles, Colorado…and of course, St. Louis. This is Geoff’s second Christmas play for Bankside, the other being Silent Night, Holy Noely! For Bankside, Geoff has directed The Compleat Works of William Shakespeare (Abridged) [Revised]; Silent Night, Holy Noely; and Things That Go Bump in the Night. He has appeared in many of Bankside’s productions: Call Me Waldo, Eurydice, Hidden in This Picture, Falling, Who Am I This Time?, and almost made the stage in Nois From Illinois before the pandemic shut down production last year. An unrepentant Shakespeare fan, Geoff adapted and directed the award-winning The Merry Wives of Seoul for the Korean EDP Theatre Company. When the Edinburgh Fringe Theatre Festival is cleared to run, Merry Wives is a regular feature there in repertory with The Taming of the Shrew.
