About Creative Fundamentals with Nora Crouch

Creative Fundamentals will explore elements of art and design in paintings including, composition and value, color wheels and color combinations, and creating on canvases.

COMPOSITION AND VALUE

Using painting examples we will explore composition and value, and create a black and white value scale. Then we will use our non-dominant hand to create a monochromatic painting.

COLOR WHEELS AND COLOR COMBINATIONS

We will survey the color wheel and its use then create color combinations that guide our paintings. Using pastels (provided), we will create a series of sketches on paper in preparation for our canvases.
