Charles W. Johnson IV (Wayne Hopkins)
Charlie is pumped to be making his Artistic Synergy of Baltimore debut with PUFFS! Charlie graduated from the American Musical and Dramatic Academy in NYC. He is frequently seen on the stage through Cecil and Harford County, having last been seen as Officer Barrel in URINETOWN at the Phoenix Festival Theatre. Favorite credits include YOUNG FRANKENSTEIN as Igor, HAMLET as Hamlet, TITANIC as Barrett, and IT’S A WONDERFUL LIFE as Clarence. Thanks to the cast and crew for all of their hard work, and all the love to Jess.
Jackie Williams (Megan Jones)
Jackie is excited to make her debut with Artistic Synergy of Baltimore. She was last seen on stage in DC making cameo appearances in ROMP IN THE SWAMP (Hexagon/ Stormy Daniels and Michelle Obama). While this is her 1st production in the Baltimore area, she's performed in 15 productions in the DC Metro area. When not on stage, Jackie works for the Institute of International Economic Law at Georgetown Law and serves as the DC-area Section Chair for her fraternity, Alpha Phi Omega. Huge thanks to the cast and production team for making this an enjoyable experience!
Lou Otero (Oliver Rivers)
Lou is thrilled to be returning to the ASOB stage with such a talented cast. Some of his favorite roles include OKLAHOMA (ASOB/Ali Hakim), ONE FLEW OVER THE CUCKOOS NEST (Spotlighters/Col Matterson), GYPSY (Cockpit in Court /Back half of cow), and PIRATES OF PENZANCE (Suburban Players /Pirate). When not involved in shows he enjoys swimming and getting excited whenever the light is turned on. He wants to send thanks and love to his wife Jenn because without her none of this would be possible.
Joe Weinhoffer (Cedric / Voldy and others)
Joe Weinhoffer has dreamed of going to a famous wizarding school since he was 11, so he is ecstatic to finally have the opportunity as part of Puffs! Although he truly belongs with the Smarts, he has had a wonderful time with his fellow Puffs learning why badgers are excellent. Joe has been performing in the greater Baltimore area for the past five years; his favorite roles include Professor Harold Hill “The Music Man” at Third Wall, Will Parker “Oklahoma!” at ASoB, Perchik “Fiddler on the Roof” at Third Wall, and Rocky “The Rocky Horror Show” at Tidewater. When not on stage, Joe works as a video game designer for Firaxis. He would like to thank Melissa for including him in this production, and his friends and family for their constant support!
Melissa Broy Fortson (Narrator and others)
Melissa Broy Fortson is thrilled to FINALLY be a student at the School of Magic and Magic!! She is a Puff through and through, by nature and choice, so this show is a natural for her. When not on stage, Melissa is a L&D specialist at Brightview Senior Living. Onstage, she has enjoyed being Gary Coleman, Motor Mouth Maybelle, Mother Superior, Veta Louise Simmons, and Jewel. She also enjoys her many roles with Ovation Dinner Theater! Melissa would like to thank everyone who made this incredible dream a reality and all of those who attend and laugh along. Chrys Bell (Ginny / Bippy and others)
Chrys first and foremost would like to thank the production team for giving her the opportunity to join the PUFFS cast. Chrys is a member of Artistic Synergy of Baltimore’s Board and is very passionate about the performing arts. She would like to thank her family and friends for their support and is honored to share the stage with tremendous performers and thanks everyone involved. “Break legs and enjoy the show!”
Bill Bisbee (Ernie Mac and others)
Bill Bisbee is thrilled to be a part of this production of PUFFS. He was last seen at ASoB as Marvin Shellhammer in “Miracle on 34th Street: the Musical”. In addition to his on-stage work, Bill has credits as director and sound designer, and he serves on the boards of Artistic Synergy of Baltimore and the Baltimore Playwrights Festival. Outside of theater, he is an IT leader for a national non-profit organization, husband, and father of six. His appreciation goes to the dedicated production team and talented cast for making this show experience so much fun, and his thanks to his family for making room in an otherwise busy home life for him to pursue his theatrical endeavors.
Stacey Bonds (Leanne and others)
Stacey is thrilled to be returning for her 3rd production with Artistic Synergy of Baltimore. You may remember her previously in as Queen Aggravain in ONCE UPON A MATTRESS. Stacey performs locally in both Baltimore and Harford County. Some of her other favorite roles have been Tracy Turnblad in HAIRSPRAY, Ursula in THE LITTLE MERMAID, and Eddie/Dr.Scott in THE ROCKY HORROR SHOW. As an actual Puff, Stacey is beyond excited to combine her passion of theatre and Harry Potter. WE'RE WIZARDS!
Michelle Harmon Bruno (Susie Bones and others)
Michelle is so excited to be involved with this project! As a Smart, she was thrilled to take on the challenge of being a Puff. She needed to give her mind a rest. Some of her more memorable roles are as Armelia in “Ain’t Misbehavin’”, (WATCH nominated) Mama Euralie in “Once on This Island”, and Narrator in “Joseph/Technicolor Dreamcoat.” At home both on and off stage, directing credits include “Lion the Witch and the Wardrobe”, “Beauty and the Beast” (winner of The All Around Production Excellence Ruby Griffith Award), and “Communicating Doors” (WATCH nominated). Music Directing credits include “You’re a Good Man Charlie Brown” and, “Charlotte’s Web” with ASOB, “Footloose”, and “James and the Giant Peach”. During the day, she is an executive at a local pharmaceutical research company. She would like to thank everyone involved with this production, as their professionalism and joy made this a great experience. Special love to her husband, Ron Bruno for all that he is and does.
Temple Fortson (Hannah and others)
Temple is over the moon to be in PUFFS, especially with such a talented and fun cast! Not only does she realize her dream to attend a certain school of magic, she gets to attend with some of her closest friends and her sister/bestie. Some of Temple’s other favorite roles include Anita in WEST SIDE STORY, Narrator in JOSEPH…DREAMCOAT, Gary Coleman in AVENUE Q, Berniece in THE PIANO LESSON, Jack’s Mother in INTO THE WOODS and Lead Diva in PRISCILLA, QUEEN OF THE DESERT. Back stage she has served as a director and a choreographer, and off stage she is a marketing manager and a proud member of the Smarts house. She thanks her family and friends for always being supportive and her hubby for doing the voice overs for this show.
Samantha Murray (Harry and others)
Samantha is excited to be working again with so many talented, wonderful people, especially as the Boy Who....well, you know (even though she is actually Puff, through and through). Previous roles include THE ODD COUPLE: FEMALE VERSION (ASOB/Florence Ungar), URINETOWN (Phoenix Festival Theater/ Ensemble), and BEAUTY AND THE BEAST (Tidewater Players/Silly Girl 3). She sends a huge thank you to Melissa (who can do and does everything) and the entire cast and production staff for their hard work. Hugs and kisses to Mom, Papa, Nick (HIIII FROM CA!!) and Will. Love you 3000.
Amy M. Tucker (Sally Perks and others)
Amy is a classically trained vocalist who has been participating in music theatre since the age of 6. She earned a BA in Music and Mathematics from the University at Buffalo. Her recent performances include SEUSSICAL (Mrs. Mayor, Streetlamp Productions), MARY POPPINS (Katie Nana/Annie, MST), BLOODY, BLOODY ANDREW JACKSON (“10 Little Indians” Soloist & others, MST), CATS (Ensemble, MST), SUNDAY IN THE PARK WITH GEORGE (Celeste #1, MST), WEST SIDE STORY (Jets Girl, MST), SWEENEY TODD (Ensemble, MST), MERRILY WE ROLL ALONG (Dory, MST), AVENUE Q! (Kate Monster, Tidewater), HONK! (Penny/Henrietta, ASoB), LES MISERABLES (Ensemble, Tidewater), FIDDLER ON THE ROOF (Ensemble, PFT), and CIVIL WAR (Ensemble, Tidewater). Amy is also an accomplished instrumentalist, playing baritone saxophone, piano, and violin, among others. Her other interests include reading, Harry Potter, Disney, travel, and spending time with her husband, Robert, and their two cats.
Robert E. Tucker (J. Finch Fletchley and others)
Robert has been seen regionally as Ché in EVITA, Courier in 1776 at Capitol Theater, Jonas Fogg MUSICALFARE, and Leonardo in Lauren Gunderson's EYE OF THE BEHELD (World Premier) at New Phoenix Theater. Particularly, Robert enjoys playing vocally and physically dynamic roles, having played Freddie in CHESS at Winters Lane and Tidewater), Player 2 in SHIPWRECKED at Colonial players (WATCH Award Winner), Barrett in TITANIC at DCT, Andrews in TITANIC at Scottfield, Mungojerrie in CATS, Hunter in [title of show], and Pirelli in SWEENEY TODD. Robert also enjoys freelance work as a vocalist, and is the grateful director of Edgewood Theater Group at Edgewood High School. Robert holds a BFA in Music Theatre and a Master's in Education (Arts) from the University at Buffalo and a Master's in Early Childhood Education from Towson University. He is grateful to be sharing the stage with his wife, Amy, and is thankful for his amazing students past and present, in whom he holds great pride.
Lydia West (Xavia Jones and others)
Lydia is thrilled to be back on the ASoB stage and ecstatic to be in Puffs! As a proud Snake, she’s sometimes a little too ambitious with her time, but it’s afforded her the following 2019 credits: Writer/Director/Actor in “A Day in the Life” at Randallstown High School, Gertrude in “Hamlet” at Arena Players, Laura in Jason Crawford Samios-Uy’s “The Story of Us” at The Strand (July 19 & 20), and stage manager for “Emma” at Artistic Synergy of Baltimore (Aug 2-11). As always, she thanks her husband and son profusely for their patience and support of her theatre endeavors—you two are her collective rock and she loves you both 3000!
William Lloyd-Roberts (Voice Over)
William is an English Ex-Pat with a few theater credits in his youth. He has worked as the Sound Designer in a few ASoB shows, but this is his "onstage" premier with us.
