James B. Fitzpatrick (Inspector Craddock)
Jim is highly pleased to be playing this role in A MURDER IS ANNOUNCED. Most recently, Jim performed in The Suburban Players extremely successful production of MAMMA MIA in February. He was last seen here as The Minstrel in ONCE UPON A MATTRESS last Fall and before that in MUCH ADO ABOUT NOTHING as Don Pedro, SCROOGE: THE MUSICAL as Ebeneezer Scrooge, and JOSEPH AND THE AMAZING TECHNICOLOR DREAMCOAT as Pharaoh. Jim hopes that you, our audiences, have an entertaining experience.
Ashley Gerhardt (Miss Marple)
Ashley was last seen as Rona Lisa Perretti in Artistic Synergy of Baltimore’s THE 25TH ANNUAL PUTNAM COUNTY SPELLING BEE. Ashley has been performing for over 40 years in professional & amateur theatre. Some of her favorite roles include: Elizabeth Benning in YOUNG FRANKENSTEIN & Annie Oakley in ANNIE GET YOUR GUN. Ashley is an 11-year breast cancer survivor & wouldn't be here without the love & support of family & friends. She is excited to share the stage with her husband once again! Love you, Mr. Lobster!
Jim Gerhardt (Edmund Swettenham)
Jim is excited to return to the stage here at Artistic Synergy of Baltimore after performing as Mitch in the previous show, THE 25TH ANNUAL PUTNAM COUNTY SPELLING BEE. He was also seen as Joseph in JOSEPH...DREAMCOAT at ASoB in 2016. He is happy to be in a non-musical, and loves Agatha Christie; playing Christopher Wren in THE MOUSTRAP is one of his most memorable experiences on stage. Other favorite local credits include Judas in JESUS CHRIST SUPERSTAR, Albert in BYE BYE BIRDIE, J.P. Finch in "HOW TO SUCCEED IN BUSINESS…, and Joe Hardy in DAMN YANKEES! He is excited to be working on another show with his good friend and Asst. Director, Lou Otero, as well as sharing the stage once more with his lovely and talented wife, Ashley, aka Mrs. Marple.
Claire Levine (Clara Sweetenham)
Claire is excited to be performing in her first show at Artistic Synergy of Baltimore and her second community theater production. Her first foray into community theater was as Ethel Rogers in AGATHA CHRISTIE’S AND THEN THERE WERE NONE at Vagabond Players earlier this year. Perhaps it is obvious that she is a big fan of Agatha Christie. She would like to extend her thanks to Michael Crook and Lou Otero for giving her this opportunity.
Jim Morgan (Rudi Sherz/Sergent Mellors)
Jim is thankful to return to ASoB for a third performance. He was previously seen as the Wizard in ONCE UPON A MATTRESS and Verges/the Messenger in MUCH ADO ABOUT NOTHING. His favorite roles include Old Man Strong in URINETOWN and Maurice in BEAUTY AND THE BEAST. As always, he thanks Chris for her support and blames Emily for all this theatrical nonsense. Lou you’re the best and thanks for the opportunity Mike.
Chloe Scully (Philippa Haymes)
Chloe is very excited to be performing again with Artistic Synergy of Baltimore. Having recently graduated from University of Maryland, Baltimore County, she performed in various school productions including AN ADDAMS FAMILY MUSICAL and several student-written shows, such as POSSIBLY A MUSICAL, and AN ENTIRELY ACCURATE PORTRAYAL OF EVENTS THAT HAVE ACTUALLY HAPPENED ON THE UMBC SMOKE-FREE CAMPUS, I PROMISE. She recently made her community theatre debut with ASoB's production of "MIRACLE ON 34TH STREET: THE MUSICAL in the role of the villainous Ms. Sawyer, and has also performed with other local groups. When not on stage, she is busy binge-listening to her favorite musicals and working at the library. She thanks her fellow cast and crew, as well as her friends and her father and sister for all the support they have shown her. Break a leg, everyone!
Catherine Rexford Shinaberry (Letitia Blacklock)
Cat has worked in historic theater with the Colonial Williamsburg Foundation for 18 years. The lead in a Carson Hudson production of CRY WITCH from 1985 to 2001 as Grace Sherwood the accused witch in a dramatic, historical trial. In 1999, Cat appeared in the History Channel’s production of FOUNDING FATHERS as Martha Washington, Abigail Adams and a Courtesan of Benjamin Franklin. She also assisted the Property Master as a Costumer for the production. Appearing from 2006 to 2009 as Mary Pickersgill, the flag maker of the Star Spangled Banner at the 1812 Flag House, in Baltimore. Cat has a tremendous passion for historical, first person re-enactments and has worked for 25 years in demonstrations of various 18th to 19th century first person trades such as spinning, apothecary medicine and millinery. She loves costuming and researches each character with a desire to present the best representations of each period in history.
Ann Marie Taglavore (Julia Simmons)
Ann Marie is originally from Charlottesville, VA, has a background in dance and has been acting since 2016. Ann Marie is a junior at Towson University studying Psychology, Sociology, and Theater. She has been in several campus productions with Towson’s Actors Anonymous including student written original works. Ann Marie has also been involved in a number of student films produced by the Towson Electronic Media and Film Department. This is her first production with Artistic Synergy of Baltimore.
Mel Tillery (Mitzi)
Mel is delighted to return to Artistic Synergy of Baltimore for a second show. Before A MURDER IS ANNOUNCED, Mel was last seen in ONCE UPON A MATTRESS and WENDY, PETER, PETER, WENDY. In addition to acting, Mel enjoys painting, storytelling, and looking under logs to find bugs.
Phil Vannoorbeeck (Patrick Simmons)
Phil is excited to be working with the Artistic Synergy of Baltimore for the first time. Previous credit highlights include Gary in I HATE HAMLET, Touchstone in AS YOU LIKE IT, Milo in 13 DEAD HUSBANDS, Brad Majors in THE ROCKY HORROR SHOW, James Monroe in BLOODY BLOODY ANDREW JACKSON, and Diesel in WEST SIDE STORY. As well as acting, Phil also has directed productions in the Baltimore area with recent shows including MEASURE FOR MEASURE, TWELFTH NIGHT, MIRACLE ON 34TH STREET, and LOST IN YONKERS. Phil is also a fight director and an active Actor Combatant with the Society of American Fight Directors so if you want to meet in the parking lot after the show you better go at half speed and know the changes in choreography.
Donna Zubrowski (Dora "Bunny" Bunner)
has completely enjoyed her return to the stage this past year in the ASoB productions of SCROOGE, OKLAHOMA!, and MUCH ADO ABOUT NOTHING. She has also been Stage Manager and Photographer for YOU’RE A GOOD MAN! CHARLIE BROWN and MIRACLE ON 34TH STREET. When not onstage or behind the scenes, Donna enjoys photography as well as working with youth soccer and lacrosse programs.
