Valarie Gorman (PEGGY)
Valerie Gorman is a stage, film, TV and print actor and is honored and excited to be playing the role of Peggy in this wonderful play. She has recently worked with Citadel Theater (US Jukebox at the Algonquin), Metropolis (Sister Act and The Legend of Georgia MCBride), Redtwist (The Humans and Herland), Steep (Zurich, Moment, Seven Days), Oil Lamp (On Golden Pond) . She has also worked with Raven Theater, 16th Street Theater, Provision, Griffin, Northlight, Collaboraction, Mercury, Eclipse, Rivendell, Theater Wit, to name a few. She was a former ensemble member of Reflections Theater, the first here in Andersonville. She has also appeared on Chicago Fire, recently filmed Lucy is a Loser, Perfect Soul, Chasing Gold, and is represented by Big Mouth Talent.
Andrea Uppling (ELLEN)
Andrea Uppling is so humbled and honored to be a part of bringing a Joel Drake Johnson script to life with this incredibly talented group and treasured director. Credits include her work with Paramount Theater, Theatre EVOLVE, Invictus Theatre Co., and most recently Griffin Theatre Co. She is proudly represented by Big Mouth Talent. All her love to Ella, Erik, and Katsuki.
Michael Stejskal (WARREN)
Michael is honored to work with 4 Chairs and share this beautiful play. As a Chicago based actor, he was last seen playing Leontes in A Winter’s Tale (Invictus Theatre), David Lewis in Gods & Monsters (Theater Wit), and Hovstad in An Enemy of the People (St. Sebastian Players). When he’s not on stage he can be found cutting hair at his barbershop The Public Barber, and loafing on the sofa with his two pugs. As always, a special thanks to his #1 fans, his parents, for their constant encouragement.
Amber Dow (BARB/ELLEN U/S)
Amber Dow is honored to work with 4 Chairs Theatre and these incredible artists! A Northwestern University theatre graduate, favorite credits include: Paulina in THE WINTER’S TALE and Servant/Gentlewoman in MACBETH both with Invictus Theatre (both Jeff-Recommended); Mrs. Bateman in AMERICAN PSYCHO the musical with Kokandy (Jeff Award-Best Musical, Jeff-Nominated-Best Ensemble); Nurse/Crone in the world premiere of MEDEAMEDEAMEDEA with Theatre Evolve; Matron “Mama” Morton in CHICAGO, Daria Chase in THE GAME’S AFOOT, Patsy Cline in ALWAYS…PATSY CLINE. Julie Mitre (PEGGY U/S)
Julie Mitre's recent theatre credits include The Tragedy of Macbeth (Witch#2/Doctor), Ripcord (U/S performance), Beau Jest, Jest A Second, and Murderers (Oil Lamp Theatre), The Clean House (Crabapple Productions),The Oldest Profession (Open Door Rep), and Old Ringers (2nd Act Players; James Downing Theatre). Film and TV credits include Chicago Med (NBC), Ballot Box (Studio 22), Sex Drugs and Rocking Chairs (Columbia Thesis) and web series, Thanks A Latte (Hike Creative). Julie has performed the role of Grandma in The Ruth Page Civic Ballet’s production of The Nutcracker for the past 13 years.

Amy Torf (BARB U/S)
Amy is delighted to help create this powerful story with 4 Chairs! Her favorite previous credits include: London Suite: Going Home and Something Rotten at Devonshire Playhouse and Big Fish at Deerfield Theatre. Amy can also be found performing on the streets of the Bristol Renaissance Faire. When she’s not on stage, she teaches high school STEM and loves to play board games and cuddle with her dogs. She thanks her family for their ongoing support!
