Upcoming Auditions                              September 28th

The RCSHS Theatre Department was established in 1984 by Virginia Landreth Etherton.  Over the past 40 years, they have performed unforgettable shows such as "You Can't Take it With You," "Our Town," "You're A Good Man, Charlie Brown," and "The Importance of Being Earnest."
More recently, under the direction of Mrs. Kayla Stafford, Josh Hamilton (Music Director), Genny Jenkins (Costuming & Assistant Director), and Emily Highley (Assistant Director) the Viking Thespians have performed "Steel Magnolias," "Arsenic & Old Lace," "Romeo & Juliet," "The Wizard of Oz," "Legally Blonde the Musical," and "A Christmas Carol."

Each year the RCSHS Theatre Department performs 2-3 plays and musicals, casting over 100 students from grades 1-12!

The RCSHS Viking Thespians are excited to announce that we are holding OPEN auditions for our Christmas musical, Little Women. We have applied for live performance and live streaming rights. Rowan County students in grades 6-12 may audition for lead roles and our chorus on September 28th from 3:30-6pm in the Performing Arts Center.  The show will open on December 9th and run through the 12th.  All tickets will be $10 each.
